Dana: I know you told me you were removing yourself from the picture, but Alice, I dont want you to. I want you in the picture. I saw Lara tonight, I have missed her. We did have a great time together, but, well, Al, when I broke up with her it ended there. I was with her and we were talking and I kept thinking of you. She said she thought we had something special, in reality, we had great *****. You and I, Al, we have fun together, we do things. I would very much like to try something more with you, if you can find it in your heart to give me that chance.

Alice: Dana, I dont know. We were having *****, you called out LARAS name. I wanted it to be special, and all I heard was her name. I just knew she was in your head while I was ***** you. That is not good for my morale. Bette never even did that.

Dana: Al, I know what it must have looked like, and I swear she was not in my mind at all, well not until I said her name. We have always been great friends, but remember when we went to tell my parents, about me being *****, I felt something for you then. You were so into wanting to be with a man, I never tried anything, besides, we had a pact. I did feel something, and I know you did to. At Palm Springs, I know you hated Tonya, but you were jealous of her, you wanted to be with me. I could see it. When you came to my house and kissed me, you felt it, that is why you left, tell me I am wrong, Al.

Alice: of course I feel something for you, Dana, no one has ever been able to get under my skin like you do. I knew we had made a pact, and your friendship is so important to me, I never wanted to cross that line. When I kissed you, and I felt you respond, I did run, I did not want to be the one to break up your engagement, but knew you were not seeing her. I thought we had a chance. Untilwelluntil I saw Lara. I guess when I heard you call her name, I realized you might very well want to be with her. I wanted to make that choice easy, by removing myself. I hate to see you upset. I care about you that much.

Dana: I told Lara tonight that I want you and me to give it a try. If you are willing. I made a mistake, Al. A huge one. I am sorry for that. I could have had Lara tonight, but I dont want her, I want to be with you. I hope that you give me a chance. I know we could be great together. I also know that you and I will always be friends too. I know you are capable of being friends with people you have slept with, look at you and Bette. You guys have a great friendship, and you were totally into her.

Alice: our situation is very similar to the one I had with Bette. We were such good friends, and then we crossed the line, and I was into her, when we decided to stop dating, our friendship just picked up right where we left it. I know you and I have the same thing that Bette and I did.

Dana walks over to Alice and pulls her into her arms. Give me a chance, Al. She lowers her head to Alices and kisses her softly. Alice pulls away, and looks at Dana, she smiles at her and goes back in for another kiss. There kiss last for a little while. Dana pulls back, Al, would you like to go back to my place, Jett has been alone all day

Alice: I would like that very much. She turns off the lights and takes Danas hand as they walk out of Alices apartment.

They get into Danas car and drive home in silence. Dana reaches over and takes Alices hand and holds it tightly. Alice looks at Danas profile she is beautiful

Dana: what were you just thinking of?

Alice: You. Just how beautiful you are. We are going to have a great time.

Dana: Yes, I know that much.

Alice: you know what? That you are beautiful? Give me a break, Fairbanks.

Dana: no, that we are going to have a great time, although you are quite beautiful yourself Al.

Alice: you better get me to your place soon Dane, I am ready to kiss you.

Dana: (pulls the car over) why wait? (she leans in and kisses Alice, very passionately)

Alice: Get us home Dana.
