    Graduation Day…

    That morning…

Tina awoke to the sound of her alarm clock. She smiled at the thought of graduation day. She couldn’t wait to see her friend, Kate. She met Kate at Everest. From the first day they clicked. Perfectly. Kate dated this guy name Mark. Mark was three years younger but had a sweet heart. He made her happy. Tina was happy when Kate left her old boyfriend, Lon. He was a real dick as she would say.

The smell of pancakes, bacon and eggs filled the air. Today was her mother’s day off from the church. Her mother at times, would get up early and cook the house breakfast. Not long ago, Tina’s mother was diagnosed with having Type 2 diabetes. Every day is a struggle. Every day. The affects of the medication and the strict diet one must commit to. It can also be one that sucks the life out of you too. From the day Tina found out, she’s seen a change in her mother day by day. For the worst at times.

Tina’s alarm sounded another time. 09:50 a.m. the alarm read on that cool Thursday morning. She jumped to her feet and slipped on her house shoes.

    `Knock Knock`

    "Yea." Tina says, listening closely.

"Are you hungry?" Her mother asked. "I’m making breakfast." She adds. Tina opened the door and was greeted by her mother. "I’m making breakfast….do you want some?" Tina’s mother asked a second time.

"Yea, sure. I’m starving." Tina replies, heading to the bathroom. Inside, she washed her face and brushed her teeth. She stood in the mirror and gazed back at herself. It’s been a couple of days since she heard from Bette. She hoped that her comment didn’t offend her. At the sometime she hoped she listened to everything she said. Tina was for real this time. Either deal or no deal.

    Popeye’s Fried Chicken

    lunch time….

Tania, Bette, and Sean sat at a table. Bette smiled suddenly for no apparent reason and Tania spotted it. She elbows Bette.

"I seen that." Tania says, smiling.

"Seen what?" She continued to smile. Displaying her pretty whites. She couldn’t help blushing. She had a surprise for Tina later. Bette knew the day was Tina’s graduation. She found out yesterday, that she doesn’t have to work the job in the evening. So, she is free to do what ever she wants.

    1. Tina will be very suprised that Bette will attend and the flowers will be a huge surprise for her as well. It will be a glorious day for the both of them. Great update. Thanks for posting.

    2. I gotta give Tania major props, I thought Tina was going lose it for a second there. Thank goodness she was able to calm herself down and see things from an outside perspective. Thank you vakkav for the awesome update.
