Life As We Know It – #402 – The L Word S4
“Ok, like, hold on…,” began Shane. Then she stopped, seeing the one person she still wasn’t ready to see. She stopped short, seeing Shane sitting with her friends.
“Shane….,” stammered Carmen. The jade green coffee cup slipped from her long elegant fingers, falling to the tile floor, shattering into a million sharded pieces. It was as if the silence was a shroud of death, covering the room, every sound hollow, yet loudly vibrating through the both of them.
“Carm,” said Shane. Standing up, sending the chair skittering away from her. “Don’t leave, Carmen, come back.”
Carmen didn’t go back, instead she ran out the front door of The Planet on quick feet. Shane didn’t know if she should follow her, or leave her alone. The hesitation allowed Carmen speed away in her car. Tires squealing on the wet pavement, so Shane stood there, the room moving around her as if nothing had happened.
“Sit back down, Shane,” said Bette gently, having gotten up and righted the spilled chair. Taking Shane’s cool hand and leading her back to her circle of friends.
Shane did. “She’s still… angry at me?”
“That’s putting it lightly. I heard her mother tried to curse you, made a Shane Voodoo doll too,” Jenny said.
“Ha, ha,” said Shane. Then the serious looks on her friend’s face told her that they were not kidding. “Wow.”
“You left her at the alter, asshole,” Jenny stated.
“I know, I was there, I know what I did,” said Shane. She raised her hand, waving to someone across the room.
“Here two minutes, and already waving to… oh helloooooooooooo….,” said Alice. Staring at the woman across the room. Tall, long blonde hair, dark eyes, luminously tanned skin, dressed in skin tight jeans, and a barely there halter top. A bag slung across her chest, something worn, and well loved.
“I think Dana would say, Crispay right now,” said Bette with a laugh.
“Or tie me down and devour me,” offered Jenny, rising her cup in memory of Dana. Bette followed suit, then Alice nodded, doing the same.

This is getting very interesting. Why do I get the feeling that Bree is Tina’s sister.
I have to agree with coop, it’s getting REALLY interesting . . . wonder if Carmen’s gonna actually talk to Shane or is she gonna’ take Anna up on her advise . . . guess I’ll just have to wait and see . . . but don’t make me wait too long . . . You authors with your freakin’ cliffhangers, lmao . . . post soon, LYLAS

was thinkin the very same thing coop, that would be interesting especially if bette seemed so drawn to her.great story post again wen u can
Okay, enough with the mystery Bree. She is Tina’s long lost little sister, that’s why she is so familiar to Bette. The way she talks and the way she walks as described in the chapter says she is just a little younger version of Tina. Please get old Henry out of the picture so our girls can get back together. Thank you.
Like your writing, and crazy about cat.He like hid in the showders anf wham he got you. Bree is Tina sister that was why she was so familary to Bette. Glad Shane is back and Shane seen Carmen. Henry is such a bore.Like Tina mother, tina did start a new life without closing the door to her old life. Tina will do things her way and her way might not be the bestand she will lose out in the end. thanks
