Life: Altered 03.04 ~*~ Revealing Fate

    “What the?” Tina said and
she saw that she’d taken her place back behind the counter, flipping through
her magazine, as if she’d never moved. Tina
stared at her, had she imagined that woman next to her?

    Tina
didn’t move, instead she kept browsing, and she picked up to more records and
made her way to the counter, watching the woman ignore her. How could she do that so easily? Just not look at the person in her store? Tina stood at
the counter sliding the albums over to her and the stunning woman smiled,
nodding as if liking the selection.

    “Find everything you were
looking for?” She said, and Tina
tried desperately not to smile. She was
finding it very difficult to not smile, that woman was infectious.

“Yeah, I did actually.” Tina stated,
pulling a wad of money from her pockets and the woman waved it away. She slid the albums into paper bag and slid
    them back to Tina.

“They are yours.” She leaned over the counter taking a stray
hair off Tina‘s tee shirt. Tina blushed
again, and the woman smiled, putting her at ease. Tina licked
her lips, wanting to engage her in some sort of conversation, but she didn’t
    know where to start.

“How are you doing to make a
profit if you keep giving away your inventory?”
TinaTina felt the smile widening. Ok, who was this woman, and what sort of
spell had she cast on her in the five minutes she’d been in the store?

“I don’t do it everyday….” The counter woman stated, a small grin
playing on her full lips, and Tina brightened.

    “Not every day?” Tina countered
and the woman shook her head no. Her
reddish blonde hair falling into her eyes, making them darker by cutting off
    the sunlight to them. Tina
reached over, tucking the strand of hair behind her ear, and then looking away
    sheepishly.
