Chapter 62 – With Awe and Wonder and a Smile

Before Tina opened her eyes she knew she wasnt alone. She could hear the heart of another, feel her legs entwined with another and as she licked her lips she could taste another. A smile crossed her face as the reality of Bette hit her conscious mind. Tina opened her eyes, with her heart in her very expression, calling Bette closer to her. After last night she had to see how Bette felt. For Tina she knew that Bette was all she ever needed.

Bette was already awake. How long have you been up? Tina asked in a whisper.

Oh not long. Bette smiled back but her eyes had the look of lingering fear or doubt.

Tina caught Bettes look. Are you OK? Tina asked she wanted to know what Bette was thinking, wanting Bette to feel every bit as happy as she felt and not have a shadow of any remorse.

Seeing the joy in Tinas face, Bettes own face soften as the heat of Tinas breath touches her Yes T, Im very OK. Did you sleep well?

Tina inhales deeply and just lets this good feeling permeate all her senses. Thank you, Babe. Tina whispers as if she is revealing a secret.

What do you mean, for last night? Bette whispers back, treating their interaction with the same reverence that Tina is.

No, thanks for everything, all of it. Pausing Tina goes on, I dont think you realize just how happy you make me, Babe. I know you still have some doubts. But Babe, for me I have found you and your love again. I trust in our love and what we are feeling. You make me feel truly blessed. Im so happy. Tina says all of this with awe and wonder and a smile that lit up her face making her as bright as the morning sun. Im so happy, I just love you, Babe.

Bette has no words for this as she wants this happiness as much as Tina. Smiling Bette reaches for Tina and places her loving arms around her.
