Previously on the L Word….
Just then, there was a soft knocking on the front door. Quickly adjusting herself and taking a moment to locate her underwear, Bette approached the front door, frowning in confusion as to who could be at the door. Opening the door she was greeted with the tear-stained face of her neighbor and friend – Jennifer Schechter.

Jenny smiled ruefully, looking up at Bette
"I know it’s a little early on in our newly mended friendship to be asking giant favours but could I come in?"
"Of course!" Bette opened the door completely, allowing Jenny to shuffle through
"Who is it babe?" Called Tina from the kitchen where she was putting away the whisky glasses. But before Bette could answer Jenny had made her way into the kitchen. Apart from her puffy red eyes and smudged mascara she was still perfectly put together in her party dress and heels, not a hair out of place.
"Hi sweety" Tina’s maternal instinct kicked in as she drawled out the last syllable in sympathy, pulling Jenny into a hug
"How are you doing?" Bette cocked her head to one side in concern
"I don’t know. I just kinda walked around for a while, but then my shoes started to hurt me so I thought I’d come home. But when I got out of the cab I realised that she might be there… That they might be there, so I came here. And I know that I haven’t always been your favorite person but I was wondering if I might… I could just crash on the couch"
"Don’t be silly!" Tina dismissed Jenny’s concern with a wave of the hand, putting her arm around the younger woman’s shoulder and catching Bette’s eye. She wondered if she’d overstepped her boundary, she didn’t technically live here anymore, yet it seemed so natural that she should be inviting their grief stricken friend into their home.
"We can do better than the couch" offered Bette, her use of the inclusive pronoun warmed Tina’s heart and she pulled Jenny closer.

i like it… i also like that tina and jenny are friends… and shane has always been there for them all.. so its only right bette is there for her… PPS
Very good story, I’m really enjoying it. It would not be out of the question for S6 to really start off like this. Well done.
Interesting start.
i like how its mostly bette and tina but you also let other characters get there chance. it’s refreshing to have more then just one couple in a story.
Despite Shane’s complete and utter destructive path I am glad that Bette is there to hold her. I think in a lot of ways Bette and Shane are kindred souls and need one another to hold onto, I hope that Tina and Bette can help Jenny and Shane through this painful period in their life.
You know Shane has done this twice to Jenny. First there was Carmen and now with Nikki. Maybe Jenny does love Shane and Shane can’t live without Jenny so something must be there. PPS.
What a great way to start the morning. I can never get enough of good Bette and Tina. Who would have thunk it? Bette and Jenny friends? You made it work. I am really enjoying this continuation of S5. Looking forward to next update. Thank you for sharing.
wow i never thought i would see bette and shane being serious, as well as tina and jenny! :)
interesting story, liked it very much. Its the first time I have read about Jenny and Shane becoming more than friends:)PPS
well thought out…yeah…onto it…pps
That was great!
I love Jenny and Tina relationship the whole season 5 they made that season for me, they were funny together and it seems so natural especially when Tina would be trying to make Jenny do something and Jenny as director was so big headed she’ll just ignore her, it was like a mother chasing her wild daughter around, lol too funny
