    Laws of attraction Chapter 7

Shane face become hard like a rock, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She just stayed in front her professor, mouth agape.

    – …Anything else you wanted to know McCutcheon?

    – Huh? No, thank you professor.

    – Good. See you next week then.

She couldn’t even say bye to him, she was paralyzed. Suddenly she remember him talking about another english class so she spent the whole day looking in all the english classes she could to see if she can find Carmen there. The day had came to an end and she only had one class left to check. She made a lame excuse to enter and then she saw her. Carmen was sitting with a guy, laughing and whispering. Shane’s blood began to boil and when Carmen noticed, although she looked hurt, she just looked at her and planted a kiss on the guy’s cheek. Shane, unable to take it anymore, left the class almost running.

She was devastated. All she had said about Carmen being a bunch of fresh air was true and having no Carmen, not even for a class, was like constantly drowning. She stopped going to class, and even stopped going to school at all. The only thing she would do was getting drunk or high with whatever substance she could and fuck whoever girl came across. It had been a month already and the gang was worried as hell. The few times they had had the chance to see her, she was looking like the same hell. Black circles around her eyes and even skinier. Shane had became a ghost of what she once was and even though the whole gang had tried to talk her, tell her to stop, that she was slowly destroying herself, Shane wouldn’t listen. It came to a point where it was useless to even talk to her. But Alice knew, Alice knew the reason behind all that and decided to act on it.

    – Shane have you tried to talk to Carmen again?

    – I don’t see the point on doing that

    – Well, I mean, the last time you called her was more than a month ago… maybe, you know, maybe she changed her mind…
