"We’re the behavioral analysis unit," Shane groaned, smiling when she looked up to see Bette with a smile of her own plastered on her face. "… We always get stuck with this."
"Mmm hmm," Bette agreed, still smiling down at her research.
Shane just shook her head at her boss’s strange behavior. She wasn’t one to smile unconditionally. "Well, at least the Hoffner case is closed, right?"
Bette just nodded along, obviously lost in thought.
"The case with that woman … what was her name?" she studied the expression on Bette’s face as well as she could, watching for any sudden changes in emotion. She thought she had some idea of why that smile was situated on her lips. "Christina?"
"Where?" Bette asked, suddenly lifting her head from the book with an eagerness in her eyes.
Shane chuckled and crossed her arms over her chest. "I’ve gotta go. But hey."
"Hmm?" Bette asked, looking up to her in wait of a response.
"I am glad the case is closed. I’m glad we uh … found our guy, hey? Sure is a breath of relief," Shane smiled, reading her boss’s quirked brow as her cue to leave. "Right … well, have a good long weekend."
"I’m still on the clock," Bette smiled back, trying to hide her expression with a purely professional tone. "Don’t have too much fun."
"I will," Shane laughed, finally leaving the office and heading down the hall.
Bette made excellent use of her time until the clock struck five, and she hurried out of the building – as gracefully as possible, of course.
Outside, sitting in a fiery red sports car, sat a smirking blond with a passionate glow that never seemed to leave her hazel eyes. As soon as Bette saw the familiar sight, she stopped in her tracks and had to catch her breath. Her thoughts immediately went to a number of nights ago, when she had made out on the hood of that very car, just outside of the city, watching the stars. She remembered how cool her back felt before they heard another car coming and rolled off. That night had proved to be very interesting. Swallowing hard and remembering she was still in the entrance of her work building, Bette straightened her composure and walked toward the car. Images of a scantily clad Tina splayed across the hood in almost total darkness was threatening her ability to put one foot in front of the other, but she somehow managed.

I was so into the reading of this chapter I did not realize that I was at the last page of the story. But it seems that if I read it correctly Tina and Bette have been together for at least a few weeks if not months as this story progressed. The relationship to me seem to differently change to one of love, trust and understanding of what each completely wanted and desired. Thank You for being brave as always in telling this type of story.

Hey GrindRight, What a perfect ending to a most excellent adventure.You have completely blown my mind with this delightful and devilish drama.Highlighting the world of Domme/sub relationship has been an absolute joy to read.This is an adult partnership between two consenting women.Christina was an established Domme who opened up a new world for her sub, Bette.There was a initial attraction and trust that their game-play build on. Now there is true love, understanding and acceptance of their roles.Tina is now ready to be only Bette’s Domme. This just shows how much Bette means to Tina.On the other hand, Bette is totally commited to her sub persona. This has allowed her to experience true pleasure through pain.
