“Mom, do I really have to come along?” Tina whined. Pamela Kennard had just told her they were visiting her best friend, Lucy Porter, that night. John, her dad, never argued with his wife over anything, he had given that up a long time ago. But Tina being a stubborn teenager hadn’t.
“Yes, Tina. I don’t see why you would stay here in the cottage all night.”
“I could go out or something, I’m 18. And if you don’t trust me, Sky could come along. I bet he doesn’t want to go either.”
“You will both come, Tina, no discussion. I bet Lucy looks forward to see the two of you so much, it’s been such a long time.”
It may have been a long time, but Tina still remembered that visit all those years ago…

It was early in the evening. Lucy and Pam were having a glass of wine at the balcony and they had left the kids inside. John and Sky were on a fishing trip for two days, so they weren’t there. It was just Tina and Bette. A girl of thirteen and a young woman of eighteen.
“So…” Bette said, annoyance evident in her voice. She was sitting in the couch and had just put the remote down; there really was nothing on.
“Yeah, so, uhm… do you have a boyfriend?” Tina wasn’t comfortable at all. Bette let her know in every way that she didn’t want to be there. Her aunt had made her stay to keep little Tina company and she didn’t like babysitting if there wasn’t any money involved. Bette said about a million times how she could have been at a club right now, partying and meeting people.
“Nope,” Bette said. “I have a girlfriend for the summer, tough.”
Tina wrinkled her eyebrows. “A girlfriend?”
“Yes, a girlfriend. Haven’t you ever heard of that, moron?” Bette snapped. This little girl was irritating her to no end. The little brat really knew nothing about the big world. Bette was convinced she knew more when she was thirteen. The fact that so much more had happened in her life by then was easily forgotten.
“Uhm… well… I… I have a girlfriend as well,” Tina said, blushing. She was sitting at the coffee table, her legs crossed. Her blonde hair reached to her chin and she was wearing shorts that clearly belonged to her big brother.

Looks like 18 year old Tina is falling hard for the older Bette Porter. Will Bette feel the same way about the little snot nose girl of 13 now 18?

Hey Genner, That was so funny. I just loved how Bette opened Tina’s eyes to the world of Sappho. Interesting to have the age difference and show how it changes as the year past. Tina is totally in awe of Bette and I can’t wait until they meet official. I do hope that sparks will fly and a new relationship will follow. I can’t wait. Please continue soon. Your Loyal Fan.
