“Really nice.” Bette flatly answered as she looked around her. What the fuck? Her forehead scrunched in wonder as she eyed the blue raincoats that the people around them wore. “Why are they wearing those things?” She whispered to Tina’s ear as she nodded to the family sitting beside the blonde.

“They probably went to this place right after they rode the rapids.” Tina took out a folded and worn-out looking map inside her pocket and pointed to the ride beside the Shamu show. Yeah, that must be it.. she shrugged.

“Oh.. okay..” Bette slowly nodded, though her voice dripped with apprehension. She was feeling something inside her stomach.. something bad.. though she really couldn’t put a finger on it. Oh well, she sighed in resignation as music began to blast from the speakers, signaling the start of the show.

“Wooooooooooooooo!!!!” Tina whooped as two Orca whales jumped up from the other pool and landed inside the main one. “Go Shamu!!!” She shouted as another whale, the biggest of the bunch, came out from under the blue waters and did a flip in the middle of the pool.

“Greaaattt.” Bette clapped unenthusiastically as the people around her went crazy for the whales. The things I would do for you Kennard, she shook her head and smiled a little as her girlfriend started professing her love for Shamu at the top of her lungs.

A few minutes into the show, one of the wet-suit clad animal trainers walked in front of the crowd and pointed to the audience. “Who wants to get close to Shamu?” The guy shouted through the microphone as the crowd went apeshit.. specifically a certain blonde sitting at the front row. “You..” He shouted as he pointed to a shell-shocked Tina. The girl screamed excitedly, looking like she had won the lottery. The camera zoomed in on the happy teen and flashed the blonde’s image through the giant screen. The audience laughed as the camera panned out and showed the girl’s companion hiding her face behind her hands in embarrassment.

“What’s your name?” The guy asked as he shook hand’s with a giddy Tina as soon as she ran up to him on the platform by the pool. He pointed the microphone at the girl’s face and smiled.
