CHAPTER SEVEN: Push and Pull Part One

    Saturday Morning

Tina tossed and turned in her bed in frustration. Sleep had eluded her that night, and she was feeling all tired and weary. Her mind kept her awake all night as flashbacks of Sam’s kiss played over and over again. Yes, it was just a kiss on the cheek. But she knew that if she hadn’t turned away, Sam would have kissed her on the lips. And Tina was torn — on one hand, she was feeling a tinge of regret at the missed opportunity — on the other hand, she was feeling a little guilty for thinking about accepting Sam’s kiss, knowing fully well that it wasn’t intended for her.

Oh, Tina was a smart girl. She was no fool. No matter how much she liked Sam Makavejev, her feelings didn’t blind her to the truth. She saw Sam’s face as she looked at Helena Peabody’s image. She knew just what was written clearly on the brunette’s face.

Tina sighed as she buried her head under her pillow. "I wish she would look at me that way." Tina mumbled.

    Saturday Afternoon

Four figures stood outside a white limousine as they watched a private jet make its descent on the runaway of a small airstrip just on the outskirts of Los Angeles. They were situated just beside one of the huge airplane hangars, right beside the place where the jet was set to be parked. A few minutes later the jet came to a full stop and the four friends slowly made their way to it as the door opened and a flight attendant went down the few steps. A few moments later, a stunning brunette wearing a simple yet elegant white sun dress emerged from inside the plane. Helena Peabody was finally home. A smile broke out on her face as she eyed the familiar faces heading her way. She placed her sunglasses over her hair as she walk down the steps and into the open arms of Sam, one of her childhood friends.

"Sammy!" Helena exclaimed as she held on to her favorite member of F4.

"Hey." Sam smiled as she held on tight, reveling at the feeling of the brunette in her arms. "Welcome home." She whispered as she closed her eyes, inhaling the flowery scent of Helena’s hair as the wind carried it to her nose.
