Just The Girl – Chapter Four (a HYD-inspired fic)
Tina raised an eyebrow as she took the bag her friend was offering. "What’s this?"
"Lunch." Jenny smiled as she looked at Tina’s disheveled appearance. "I know you haven’t eaten yet cause your lunch is all over your clothes and your hair." She picked a small piece of spaghetti noodle that was hanging out of Tina’s breast pocket and laughed. "You wear it well." She joked.
Tina laughed as she pulled out a sandwich from inside the bag. She sighed contentedly as she took a big bite. Boy, she was really famished. "Thank you so much Jen.." She said through a mouthful of food.
"Don’t mention it." Jenny smiled as she watched her friend eat.
Tina sniffled as she felt the tears form at the corner of her eyes. "Not just for the food." She smiled. "But for not abandoning me."
Jenny smiled sincerely. "You’re my friend Tina. What did you expect?" She said quietly.
Tina thought back to Dana and felt a sharp pain in her chest. "Nothing less." Tina smiled as a tear escaped from her eye.

Tina arrived inside the gym locker room with a few good minutes to spare. She used this time wisely for a super quick shower. Most of her classmates were already inside the indoor gym, leaving her alone with a handful of people inside. She stepped out from the private stall with a white towel wrapped around her body. She shivered slightly as her feet came in contact with the cold tiles. She walked briskly to her locker and pulled it open. What she saw next made her mouth drop and her skin crawl. Inside her locker, there were about seven gigantic slimy slugs crawling around. There were some on her gym shorts.. on her shoes.. and dear God.. even on her spare underwear! She groaned as she gingerly tried to get her gym clothes out of the locker. She screamed as she picked up a slug from her shirt and threw it at the corner of the room. She did the same with the other slugs on her clothes.
Ten minutes later, a flustered Tina joined her mischievous looking classmates at the gym for a game of volleyball, all the while scratching her skin and tugging at her clothes. Is that all you guys can do? She thought as she positioned herself on one side of the net. A minute later her eyes widened in horror as she saw the ball being spiked directly towards her. Oh God, she thought as the ball hit her squarely on the face.

So my heart is broken that after Tina protected her Dana turned into a coward who didn’t stand by her friend. However, I am glad to see Tina refuse to break in front of egomaniac Bette. Hopefully too much damage won’t occur between the two.
Well after 7 months of silent reading, I finally feel compelled to comment! This story is awesome, can’t wait to read more!
i have to agree lauraMP, ive only commented once before and i’ve read this fiction for a couple of years but i’m loving this!! It’s hard to hate bette even when she’s as nasty as this – love the sparring between the two though…keep it coming!!
nice school… where are the teachers… and those other kids… what the hell is up with them… at least jenny stayed her friend… now dana is the strange one… but it does look like bette has met her match… PPS
Tina is awesome and you go girl!
I love this feisty Tina! She literally drove Bette down to her knees!
