Just The Girl – Chapter Eight (a HYD-inspired fic)
——————————-
As Tina was making her way down the stairs, she was suddenly aware of the absence of students in the hallways. Weird, she looked at her wristwatch and frowned. There were still five minutes left until afternoon classes start, so where were the usual late souls gossiping in the halls? She suddenly felt nervous and uneasy all of a sudden. I knew it, she said to herself, they really are plotting something big. When she reached the first floor landing, she heard a sound that made her stop dead in her tracks. It sounded like.. like.. a horde of wildebeests were let loose inside the building. Tina actually felt the ground vibrate slightly. "What the fuck?!" She said out loud.
And then see saw it.. all the color drained out from her face as her eyes bulged out. Almost all of the students were making their way inside the main building from the cafeteria. It was a mob. A murderous mob! Tina’s mind screamed in horror. "Oh. My. God." Tina whispered.
"There she is!!!" The sophomore girl leading the students shouted. "Get her!!" A thin freshman screeched as the students started to run towards Tina.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" Tina screamed as she ran towards the opposite direction. It was a stampede! It was a fucking stampede! She purposely knocked over a couple of trash bins to serve as obstacles to her pursuers. She bumped her leg on one of them and grimaced. That’s gonna bruise! She thought for a fleeting moment. She saw the doors that lead to the soccer field outside a couple of meters away and gunned for it. She accidentally hit the cleaning cart and began to slip and slide as she ran over the dirty, soapy water that spilled on the floor. A drinking fountain managed to stop her from actually falling on her ass.. but she hit her stomach in the process and got the wind knocked out of her. But she quickly recovered and continued her journey towards the doors as she saw the mob getting closer.
She had no time to breathe a sigh of relief when she actually made it outside. No time to be happy as the students continued to chase her down.

I’m really enjoying this story so far, and can’t wait for Bette to stop being such an ass and make it right! Although I feel Tina’s going to take A LOT of persuasion to get her head round this one! pps x
way to go bette… thats one way to win someone over… i was wondering if sam was going to come to her rescue… but was happy to see bette stop that shit too… wow what a story… and i’m loving it… thanks for answering my questions… PPS
OMG my heart is pounding from that chapter! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I can’t believe Bette let Tina get hurt like that. Poor Tina! Time for Bette to pull her head out of her wazoo and do the right thing for once in her self absorbed life.
this is so good and love it!
Loved the way you portrayed their feelings, but my question is: Does this type of hazing and bullying really happen in american schools? Nothing like that even came close to that in my high school, hell, even country..
