Bette felt the sting of being hit by Tina. The look in her eyes, filled with so much hurtit killed Bette to know that she did this to her. How could she, she wondered to herself. All of the feelings and images of that awful night replayed and unfolded in front of Bette. She had just broken the heart of the woman she loved most in the world.
Bettes eyes shot open and looked at the clock. It was just a horrible nightmare she thought to herself. She closed her eyes, rolled over and reached out to Tina like she had done millions of times. Not feeling Tina there in bed startled Bette. Maybe it wasnt a dream?! Her breathing became shallow as panic, hurt and frustration crashed over her. She jumped out of bed and wandered around the house to find Tina.
Bette came around the corner and into the kitchen. There stood Tina, gorgeous blond hair shining in the morning sun. She stood there for a moment taking in all of Tinas beauty. God she gorgeous, Bette thought to herself. A smile crept over her face as she watched the woman she love busying her self in the kitchen. She took a step toward Tina as Tina turned around. A smile lit up Tinas face when she saw Bette.

Good morning baby!

I made you some breakfast. You looked so peaceful that I didnt want to wake you. God look at you, youre gorgeous. I wish I could just stay here with you all day.
Then why dont you?
Babe, I wish I could but I have a meeting in an hour with another potential client. But I promise you Ill make it up to you later tonight.
Promise?
Yeah, I promise.

Tina walked over and put her hands on Bettes face. Her lips inches away from Bettes, she moved in for a long passionate kiss. Bettes lips met Tinas, her tongue parting her lips and began to taste Tina. Their tongues danced together with such passion and desire that Tina finally had to pull back due to the lack of oxygen. Tina tried to catch her breath,

God why did I agree to an early morning meeting?! (Looking at the clock) Oh, Im gonna be late, gotta run baby. You have a great day at work, Ill call you later,

With that Tina grabbed her bag and headed to the door. Bette lets out a disappointed sigh and follows a few steps behind, not wanting to let Tina out of her sight. Tina turned around to face Bette,

Baby?
Yeah?
I love you.
I love you too!

And with that Tina headed off to work. Bette closed the front door and walked over to the couch. She slumped down and rested her head in her hands. Why was she having so many of these bad dreams lately she wondered. Bette figured it was because of all the stress that both she and Tina were under. Tina had gone back to work as a development agent and Bette was preparing for another exhibit opening at the CAC. They both had been putting in long hours at the office and were under tremendous stress. For Bette the overwhelming stress was a reminder of what had drove her to be unfaithful in the first place. She remembered the stress of Provocations, losing the baby, trying to be strong for Tina and the distance that had grown between them. She had begun to realize a pattern that her bad dreams would start when she felt tremendous pressure and had little quality time to spend with Tina. It was as if she were meant to be unfaithful and go through all of the pain and suffering, as well as the long road back so that she maybe reminded for the rest of her life just what she had with Tina, and why she should never ***** it up again.
It has been 2 years since the incident that had almost cost Bette the love of her life. She fucked up big time and had spent about a year making up for it. She knew that she had hurt Tina badlyit took about a year of patience, pain, understanding, growing and wooing by Bette to win Tina back. After Bettes infidelity, Tina was hurt so badly, her heart broken into a million pieces, that had done a lot of soul searching and tried to forget about the 7 years they had together, but try as she might Tina could not deny the fact that Bette was her soul mate. Through it all Bette had never stopped loving Tina, and Tina had never stopped loving Bette. The year long reconciliation was filled with many ups and downs for both of them, but thankfully their love brought them back together. It made each of them strongerit made their relationship stronger. Theirs was a love that seemed to be destined, that rare love that really could conquer all.

Bette was determined to spend time with Tina, quality time, she was determined not to let long work hours and stress get between them again. She picked up the phone and called the CAC,
Bette Porters office.
James, its me Bette. Tell Franklin that I will be working from home today and please forward all my calls to my cell phone.
Are you okay Bette?
Yes James, Im fine. Just need to take care of a few things. Ill see you tomorrow
See you tomorrow.

Well now that takes care of that thought Bette with a little smirk creeping across her face. Bette began to pace in the living room talking out loud to herself,
Now what do I need to make everything absolutely perfect for the perfect woman? I got it!
And with that she scampered off to the bedroom to get changed. Within minutes she was out the door to pick up a few things that she would need for later that night.

A few hours later Bettes phone rang, she looked at the ID and saw that it was Tina.
Hi baby!
Hey babe. Is everything okay? I called your office and James said that you decided not to go in today.
Yeah everythings fine. Dont worry T, I just needed to take care of a few things.
But isnt the new exhibit opening soon? Shouldnt you be there at work?
Well everything seemed to be going smoothly at CAC, and with the long hours that Ive been putting in, I thought working at home would be a good change of pace.
You should have told me this morning. Maybe I could have canceled my meeting and spent the day with you. Now Im jealous, my baby is at home and Im at work. How is that fair?
T? Tell you what. Ill make it up to you tonight, I promise.

Yeah I promise.
I cant wait for this day to be over! I cant wait to come home to my baby. *****! I have to go, my next client is here. Cant wait to see you, Ill be home as soon as I can. I love you babe.

Tina couldnt help the smile that had crept across her face. Porter, she thought, what are you up too? Bette too had hung up the phone with a smile. Kennard, just wait until you get home she giggled as sweet but devilish thoughts danced in her mind.
