Journey Of Love Ch.34
After a short nap, Bette and Tina awoke refreshed and ready for the evenings events. Tina called Alice and Dana to make sure that they had made it back to the hotel and were getting ready. Given Bettes frustration the past two days, the last thing that Tina wanted was for Bette to get upset again. After calling the girls, Bette and Tina proceeded to get dressed for an evening out at Lahaina, where they would be attending the Old Lahaina Luau, a highly recommended event by the hotel staff.
Tina put on a cute little Hawaiian print sundress that she had found on the Big Island, and Bette decided to wear khaki Capri pants, with an open Aloha shirt over a white tank top. The pair of women looked like they had been living in paradise for sometime now, as they would have fit right in with the locals. When they met their friends in the lobby however, they realized that the wardrobe of their friends just screamed tourist! Alice was dressed in a bright red aloha shirt and skirt, with a plastic flower lei around her neck. Dana decided to wear a coconut leaf hat, flower in her hair, shell necklace around her neck and a very bright orange Hawaiian print dress with surfboards palm trees all over it. Shane was dressed in a pair of surf shorts and slippahs (board shorts and flip-flops) with a tank top, trying to achieve the local surfer girl look. And Kit was dressed in a pareau (sarong) with a tank top, lei and flower in her hair. Bette and Tina shook their heads, smiling at their friends who looked like such a mismatched group that they were sure that everyone at the luau would just know that they were from the mainland.
Alright guys ready to go?
Yup!
Yeah lets get this show on the road!
Yee haaawwwthe hottie patrol is ready to roll!
Yeah, come on lets go!
Everyone headed to the parking garage of the hotel and loaded up into both cars. It would be roughly a 45-minute trip out to Lahaina, but Bette and Tina decided to leave and hour and a half early, anticipating that everyone would want to stop and take pictures at every photo op along the way. The laughter, smiles and conversation flowed continuously in both cars, and the drive there seemed to pass by in a minute. After parking the cars, they headed out to the luau area and proceeded to check in.
