    “Are you gonna teach me how to do that?” Megan said, hoarsely, “I have to learn how to do that!”

    "I know. That’s why you’re buying them." Bette’s jaw dropped, "Okay, I’m sorry, but the ends justify the means. I just want to have a normal date with you. None of this frumpy Dean Porter stuff you’re doing or the uppity ‘Queen of everything’ Helena Peabody I’m used to. I want to go to the movies, I want to go get a pizza afterwards."
