    Internet Love Chapter 3

Tina walks out of the gallery still unable to place Bettes familiarity.

Tina: What is it about that woman? Its as though I have a connection to her but in what way. She was very attractive, polite, courteous, she seemed to command the room, but why do I feel like I know her?

Bette stared out the window watching Tina walk away from the gallery.

Bette: I hope I see you again Tina. I too feel the connection, but I am not sure if its because you are so beautiful that my direction is confused or a real connection that could be built upon. Will you log on again or did I let you slip through my fingers?

Bette stood there pondering how she would tell Tina the truth if ever given the chance.

A few days had past, Tina decided to log on to the art chat to see if galleryowner was logged in. She was curious how is trip was and to tell him about visiting the art gallery. Really her intentions were to find out more about Bette, but without seeming nosey.

Tina: (Typing away on her computer)I really enjoyed what I saw.

Bette: Hey mooVboss, is that you?

Tina: Hey galleryowner, I was hoping you would log on. I went by the gallery the other day. You were right, I had an amazing time. By the way, how was your trip?

Bette: Im glad you enjoyed it. Youll have to stop by again and get the grand tour. My trip was canceled, one of the artists backed out at the last minute. There is something I want to talk to you about.

Tina: Sorry to hear about your trip. So you were at the gallery all week?

Bette: Yes, I was there. Thats the thingI think you have the wrong impression about something.

    Tina: Whats that?

Bette: Somehow you are under the impression that Im a man but Im not. In fact, we met the other day at the gallery. I wasnt sure it was you until the end and didnt know how to tell you.

    Tina: Your Bette!

    Bette: Yes.

Tina: I feel so stupid for assuming you were a man. I dont know why I did that. Now I know why you seem so familiar.

Bette: Im sorry for not telling you right then and there. I felt the same familiarity but chalked that up to simple attraction.

Tina: (Talking out loud)Did she say attraction?

Bette: Im sorry if I mislead you in anyway.

Tina: No, Im sorry. I should have never assumed anything.

Bette: I was serious about giving you the grand tour if youre interested. In fact, I am throwing an artist gathering next Friday night at the gallery at 7. It would be a great opportunity to talk with the artists themselves instead of listening to my interpretation of their work. Let me know if you are interested.

Tina: That sounds like fun. Ill check my schedule and get back with you.

Bette: Great let me know by Wednesday.

Tina logged off the site, head still swimming with the fact that galleryowner was a woman, that she had made a complete idiot out of herself, the fact that Bette was gallerywoman, the attraction she felt towards her, and deciding if Bettes invitation was a date.
