Chapter 37

About a month has gone by, and they have come into a good daily routine with Angelica. Tinas family are arriving tomorrow afternoon and Tina is very exiting. She runs around the house cleaning and washing. Angelica is taking her early afternoon nap. Then the phone rings.

Kennard Porter residence. Tina answers cheerily.

Hey, baby, its me, have are this afternoon. I didnt want to wake you when I left. Bette says.

Thank you, I needed the few extra minutes of sleeping. Angelica woke me up about ten minutes later. Tina says and laughs.

Oh well, I tried. Bette replies. So, are you soon finished with the cleaning? Bette asks.

How do you know Im cleaning? Tina asks.

Baby, I know you, youre probably running around like a maniac, and is tip toeing right now. Bette says and laughs, she know Tina to well.

Well, I like our house to be clean and washed before my parents arrive. Tina says.

I understand baby. Its just a little funny, thats all. Bette says. Well, I have to get back to work, the kids are having a test right now, so I stepped outside for a moment, keeping an eye on them through the window. Bette continues.

Yeah, me too. Tina giggles. Just them Angelica wakes up crying.

Did she wake up? Bette asks.

Yeah, she did, when will you be home today? Tina asks as she moves towards Angelicas room.

I think Ill be home around 4:30 Bette replies.

Okay, Ill have dinner ready for you. Tina says.

Okay, love you, bye. Bette says.

Love you too, bye. Tina replies and they hang up.

Tina picks up Angelica and cradles her in her arms and hums a little.

Hours later, Bette walks through the front door, carrying a bouquet of roses. Tina is putting Angelica down for bed, so she is in Angelicas room.

Tina had made dinner, it is still on the oven, keeping it warm. Tina had not yet set the table, so Bette did that quietly. And at last she put on the dinner. Right when she was finished, Tina walked into the kitchen, seeing Bette taking out a bottle of water from the fridge.

Baby, youre home? I didnt hear you come in. Tina says and walks towards Bette. Bette turns around and smiles.
