Chapter: 24: The aftermath: The truth shall set you free…
The planet…
Alice meets me as promised…she waves me over once I enter the cafe interiors…I make my way over to her and sit down in the chair adjacent to her..
she fixes the table removing her laptop computer and her added paper work…she looks me in the eyes and asks…“so.. what the hell happened?”
I inhaled before letting the tears make their way down my face…she moves her chair closer and rubs my back…I wave her off saying…“I’m okay” catching my breath“I think I was right about Bette…I thinks she’s cheating on me again Al”
she leans back against the iron chair…shaking her head left to right…she’s in deep thought for a moment before looking over to me…she replies…“I don’t know T…that’s one big accusation”
I sigh slapping my hand against my thigh…frustration and anger rose at once…I couldn’t control it…something wasn’t right about this..
“okay…what if I told you that someone called me stating that Bette was cheating on me?”…I asked while waiting for Alice to respond…her face looked empty and fear appeared in her eyes before me…I added…“and what if the person asked me to meet them tonight she checks her watch and says…right now about this time?”
Alice began to squirm in her seat…she never looked so nervous before and I wasn’t sure of what her actions would be…
she asked…“who called?”
I replied saying “I don’t know…the woman never left her name…she just said to meet her”
Alice smiled before me…a laugh escaped her pink lips…she says…“T…how do you know it’s not some nut trying to break you too up?…I think your jumping to conclusions…Bette’s a changed woman T…I don’t see any need for her to cheat” she says with confidence in her voice…
I began to think about Alice’s response before my phone rings again…I answer it saying…“hello”
Bette says…“hey sweetie”…excitement filled her voice…she asks…“where are you?”
Alice taps my shoulder asking quitely…“who is it?”
I say…“it’s Bette…”
“oh” she says nodding her head up and down…
I tend back to the call…I said…“I’m at the planet babe…”
she asks “would you like for me to join you?”
I say…“no…I’ll be home shortly…me and Alice were just finishing up…”

Yes, have Tina talk to Bette about what happened. Bette may get upset but at least she’ll know someone after her. They need to be open and honest and Bette needs to know the truth. Please post soon.
