I jumped out of the chair at that comment…butterflies shot through my tummy…I said…

“that was a bold move Ms. Porter”

she says…

“hmmm…how fast can you get ready…”

I smile putting my jeans on…I walkover to my bag and begin putting clothes inside…I respond saying…

“how fast can you get over here?”

she smiles and says…

” I’m on my way”

I end the call and enter the bathroom and get ready…I quickly freshened up

Ten to fifteen minutes had passed by before the buzzer was ringing…Alice came out of the room as I was coming down the hall…she says…

“where are you going?”

I respond throwing by bag over my back….I say…

“I’m going back home to Bette…I’ve been doing some thinking and I wanna give it a try atleast for the weekend…and if I feel like it’s not worth it…I’ll get my own place…”

I looked over and saw her drop her head before me…she looks up at me with tears in her eyes…she says…

“I’m glad you made the right choice”

I smile and so does she…she moves closer to me and embraces me tight…I return the hug taking her in tighter…I lean in close to her ear and said…

“thanks for everything…your a good friend”

she looks at me and says…

“your welcome”

The doorbell rings again and we both jump…Alice presses the button and says…

“she’s coming hot stuff”

Alice opened the door for me and I proceeded through it…I turned and said…

“I’ll call you tomorrow…”

Alice nods her head up and down and waves me off…I turn and head down the stairs…I make my way down the steps and approached the last one when I looked up to the glass door…I saw Bette smile when she saw me step down before her…I opened the door and went outside to her…she looked at me and touched my cheek…her eyes lower to my bag over my back and the other two in my hand…

“T…what are you doing will all of these bags?…”

I step closer and kiss her underneath the street light…I gazed into her sparkling orbs and said…

“I wanna move back home…I wanna give this another shot…I wanna see if it’s possible to start over again…no lies…no cheating…more communication…way more dedication…I wanna try and work it out…and not just for the baby…but for myself…”

I look into her eyes and see a tear slowly trickle down her cheek…I leaned into her and licked her salt tear…she smiled at the feel of my tongue breeze against her warm cheek…she looks in into my eyes and says…

“I don’t…I don’t know what to say”

I plant my lips against hers and gently kissed her delicate lips…I smile and look at her and say…

“shhh…don’t say anyting…lets go home”

“okay”

utter from her mouth…I could see the look of happiness, joy, and excitement filter her face making her blush before me…she takes my back off my back and I assist her lifting it over my head…she reaches for the two bags in my hand…I say

“babe…I got it”
