The opening of the planet was tonight and I was getting ready to attend…Alice walks in and changes quickly and we’re off to the planet…

THE PLANET

Me and Alice make our way into the busy interiors…I spotted Dana and Shane at a nearby table…Alice and I head over and join them…I sat down and said…

“hey Dana…hey Shane”

Dana says…

“hey buddy…how are you feeling?”

I respond

“I feel much better…thanks for asking”

Shane adds

“you look way better…than you did the other day”

I smile and hold my head high this time…there was no need to walk with my head down…I didn’t ***** up…if anything I was never in the wrong and being here tonight helped me feel better…god it felt good to finally be out and mingle within the crowd…Alice touches my hand and says

“incoming”

I turn around and Bette was standing directly behind me…I turned around as though I never saw her…Dana and Shane looked on and saw how uncomfortable I felt…I guess I really did care if Bette was around…it’s just that speaking it was easy…but living the moment was the harderst part…I leaned over to Alice and said…

“I’ll be back”

she nods her head up and down…I get up from the table and head into the bathroom….

Outside…

Bette’s sits down next to Alice and says…

“what did she say?”

Alice responds…

“she said she’ll be back Bette”

Before Alice could finish her sentence Bette had left the table…she went into the bathroom after Tina….

Bathroom…

Bette waited patiently for Tina to come out of the stall…once she comes out and sees the brunette standing there…she rolled her eyes and went over to the sink and begin washing and drying her hands…Bette says

“well hello to you too Tina”

how did I not know that she was coming in here…I should have known…she waits patiently for me and by the look of her in the mirror I could tell that she desperatrely wanted to talk to me…whether she could hear me say hi…hello…or significally how are you doing?…would of brightened her world…I threw the towel in the trash and turned to her and said…

“hi Bette…”

I turned away from her towards the door and put my hand on the handle…I inhaled before walking out leaving her against the sink…I smiled knowing that I was able to turn and walk away…but I was sad that it had to be with Bette…I sat down at the table and eased my chair in more…Alice says…
