    Uh oh, you didn’t really expect a love in did you??

    I Wish CH 29

     

    After Bette dropped Tina off at the Planet to get her car, she was too restless, and too confused to go back to the condo and sit by herself. Instead she decided to take a drive, she found herself walking along the beach, without any clear answers to the racing questions running through her head.

     

    As she walked, she was drawn out of her solemn mood by the name flashing on the screen of her cell phone.

     

    "Petra! Hi!"

     

    "Hey Bette! How are you?"

     

    "I am good actually, and very happy that you called. What are you up to?"

     

    "Well, actually, I am just packing. I am coming to L.A. on business, and you said if I was ever gonna be around I should give you a call. So, here I am calling."

     

    "Well that is fantastic, when will you be here?"

     

    "I get in at 2pm tomorrow. Do you think you might have some time to meet up with me?"

     

    "I will make the time. I am so glad to hear from you. Can I pick you up tomorrow?"

     

    "Don’t you have to work?"

     

    "Hey, I am the boss, I can get away. For you I can get away."

     

    "Great, that’s great. I am looking forward to seeing you."

     

    "Me too Petra, me too. Oh, hey, where are you staying?"

     

    "Oh, um some hotel, The Majestic something or other. I think it is close to our offices there in L.A."

     

    "Well, before you confirm those reservations, would you let me put you up while you are here? I think you might find that my condo is more comfortable than your hotel."

     

    "Are you sure? I wouldn’t want to put you out or anything."

     

    "It’s no problem. Besides, I could use your great listening skills while you are here. What do you say?"

     

    "Alright, I can do that."

     

    "Excellent. Send me an email with all of your details, and I will be there at 2 p.m. tomorrow to pick you up. I am so excited to see you."

     

    "Thanks again Bette, I am looking forward to seeing you to. I’ll send the email right away, and I will see you tomorrow."

    2. Wow. I REALLY hope Tina gets some attention from another woman in Bette’s presence. Yeah, they aren’t together. She totally doesn’t need to mention it to Tina to have someone stay over. However, I have a feeling if it was the other way around Bette would be mad jealous. Petra annoys me. Definitely don’t trust her. PPS.

    4. Oh Mercy, what a stinking mess this is gonna be before it is resolved. I’m with Audi, lshw2005, and my girl Rau. Don’t trust Petra, Tina has done it to Bette before but, they were all affairs and I so hope they can talk about it before making accusations and assumptions. It’s gonna be ugly for a little while no matter what. I just wish it didn’t have to be. PPS

    9. A love in is one thing, but total disregard which we see that Bette is best at is another. No she and Tina are not officially a couple, but she does know that Tina is in love with her, and just a little courtesy call that a “friend” is coming to visit would have been nice. So wrong Bette, so wrong.

    10. Bette has seen this many times from Tina: Helena and Henry, so no need to show Bette anything, especially if she wants to reconcile. If anything Tina should finally grow up, tell Bette what she saw and ask her about it. As Helena told her way back, stop the pity party.

    12. Well I’m on T’s side; she didn’t commit the 1st infidelity in this sad sordid tale & I’ve been in her shoes. I’ve always wondered why people expect a higher standard of behaviour from Tina than Bette.Kit was right, simple courtesy from B to inform T, she knows T’s in-love with her & vice-versa but if she wants to dig a deep hole for herself so be it.As usual I love your story-telling.Lucky you in Vegas to see Celine.PPS;are u still writing your other story?

    13. Ooooh, Bette : how can you be so stupid to not mention it to Tina… and do you kiss all your friends on lips in public ?… Now, if Tina is still willing to listen to your explanations, you’ll be lucky :-§
