I Take All The Blame
She hated being introduced to his father’s girlfriends. It made her miss her mother and hate her father for what he had done to her. Though she always wanted to see him happy, she had stopped caring about what her father thought the moment he left her mother.
She had heard that this Peabody woman was a billionaire with a teenage daughter. What was better was that she was a big art collector. Art was Bette’s biggest passion.
“Elizabeth, this is Peggy and her daughter, Helena.” Her father said. Bette approached and shook Peggy’s hand. It was warm and inviting. She saw in the woman’s eyes that she would be easy to get along with.
She then stepped to the side and shook Helena’s. Her eyes were a cloudy blue color. Her lips were the prettiest color of pink—not found in a Crayola box. Her interest was piqued. Bette’s second passion was women.
She’d known she was gay for quite sometime. She had her first sexual experience with a woman when she was 15 with one of her older sister’s, Kit, friends. She learned quickly, if she was aggressive enough, she could get any woman she wanted.
And Bette was the furthest thing from shy.
“You can call me Bette. Everyone calls me Bette.”
When Helena’s mom shooed them away and into the entertainment room, Bette watched Helena intensely. Yes, Helena was beautiful, but there was something so much more to it than that. It seemed like they had so much in common. Helena, if she would allow Bette the pleasure, would not become one of her conquests. She couldn’t.
In only moments, the two girls were connected. Bette knew it. Bette felt it.
~
The night Melvin and Peggy announced their engagement, Bette and Helena bared themselves to one another—their bodies, their hearts, and their minds. Their clothes came off first, followed by each woman’s guard.
”I’ve never…” Helena started.
“I know, but I have.” Bette placed her hands on Helena’s hips, “Don’t worry.” Helena closed her eyes as Bette pressed her body to Helena’s, “You know I wouldn’t hurt you, don’t you.”
“Yes…”
“Don’t be scared of me.” Bette kissed Helena softly on the lips. She pulled away but left her forehead placed gently against Helena’s, “I love you, Helena.” Bette had never said that to any other woman she’d ever been with and she didn’t expect to say it so soon, but in saying it, she felt something being lifted from her shoulders.

Moving out should do wonders for Bette’s mental health, especially if Helena is around to lend support. And Bette in turn will support Helena at the all-important dinner. Thanks for posting, and good luck with the finals!
Trouble water is a head for both of them. Thanks
Ash first of all exams comes first and I know you will do just fine. Now I liked how you had Bette tell how they first met and how they first made love, Bette has already experience but never LOVE and it was with Helena always her and it is for Helena. And liked how they supported one another no matter what it was and now Bette would be there for her when she would come out to the family,,,wonder of Peggy knows? Anyway, great chapter
Hello ashtuck, first let me say good luck on your finals you deserve the best in life and by the looks of things you are heading in the right direction. I love how we are going to see both sides of this story from both their perspectives. This up coming dinner is going to be a real trial for them, I can already feel Melvin’s meddling with Helena’s mind because of her decision to come out, and this might test both of their resolve. I just wonder how Peggy is going to handle this. You are a brilliant weaver of passionate words and I cannot wait for your return. Good Luck and have a safe and passion filled holiday season. Sincerely, JC
From what I’ve read this seems so sweet, but you know with drama’s lol! when you want summink, they give u the opposite lmao’, pps! :P
I think this is my favourite of your stories. Its so poignant. Hope it’s okay at the dinner but is Helena just coming out or are they coming out as a couple? I’d prefer the 2nd and Bette should step up to the mark imo. Good luck with exams etc and I agree with patpez: excuses should always come 1st.
I meant: exams should always come first!!!!
three cheers!!!
Oh oh… I feel trouble coming… I hope Peggy will be more open than Melvin was : well, I’m sure that Peggy is more open, but… hey… and Melvin will surely blow up… — I liked the way you told the story of them from both their points of view… and Bette seemed very open to tell all of that on her FIRST therapy session… I know that it is not such and easy thing to tell, even when you are already out and proud ;-)
So that’s how Bette and Helena first got together huh….HOT! Well now that Bette has her own place I feel like Helena will be spending a lot of time at her step sister’s place (wink wink). OK, ash……i feeli like you’re setting us all up for some serious drama w/ all the warm fuxxy flashbacks. Is Helena really going to come out at dinner? Can’t wait for you to post an update. Good luck w/ midterms. And to answer your question, NOPE, can’t fight attraction. We’re only human after all :).
Hi there! 1:So happy to see a new post.. 2:Good luck!! 3:The dinner should be very interesting… 4:pps =)
I guess we are going to see some fireworks at dinner. But I can’t help but think that Peggy knows. Good luck with your finals I know you are going too do well.
