I miss you. I need you– January FF Challenge

Candace was very willing to do her best to meet Bette’s needs but there were areas that she could not even approach with Bette. Tina was definitely not a topic of long conversation. But she was determined she would wait for Bette. Certainly the fact that Bette sought her out, asked her to take her somewhere, Bette’s inability to deny the incredible attraction between the two, made a statement about their relationship and the possible strength of them as a couple. Candace was determined to show Bette she could be all she wanted and needed her to be. Yes, Candace was in love and Bette was the recipient of her love.

Candace came up from between Bette’s legs when she noted Bette seemed to have lost interest. Bette quietly stared at her thinking, “This is not going to work out. I need to get my life back together. I need Tina” Candace smiled at Bette as she kissed her, “I’m so happy to have you here”.

Bette continued to stare at her without responding, still thinking, “This is wrong for me. I shouldn’t be here. I don’t want to do this anymore”. Candace noting Bette’s distance said teasingly, “Hello”.

Bette smiled trying very hard to hold back her tears. She looked away from Candace and could only manage, “Hi” in response.

Candace continued to try to engage Bette to speak and asked, “Hey, where did you go?” Bette still was unable to speak and began to cry quietly. She bit her quivering lips to hold off the tears that she knew she would soon have no control over.

Candace looks at her worried about what the answer would be but asked, “What is going on?”

Bette again looked away but this time the tears begin to flow freely. “Just hold me", she asked of Candace as she buried her face in Candace’s neck and hair. Her touch, skin, hair and scent were distinctly different from Tina’s. The memories of her lost love caused her to sob uncontrollably.

Candace held her tightly, worried at seeing Bette this way. “Bette, please talk to me! What is going on? Did I hurt you?”

“No you didn’t hurt me" Bette responded as she gently rolled Candace off her. She continued, "I just…, Candace I’m sorry. I just don’t think I can continue this. This doesn’t feel right for me anymore. I can’t go on with this, with you.”
