I Fell In Love With A Straight Girl Chp 7
Story written on May 28, 2010 by chabet1.
“I’m here Shane, it’s okay.” she confronted me
In an instant I knew what had happen. I had another nightmare, bad ones, like the ones I had when I was younger, when I would scream out my mothers name in the haunting clouds of my dreams.
I was ashamed that I woke up Tina, and I was sure Bette was in the other room, looking up the name of a good shrink.
“Tina, I’m sorry.” I couldn’t help but shake as I spoke.
“Shane it’s okay.” She held me tighter and she began to cry. “Shane, I love you so much, I was so worried about you.”
I knew she wasn’t talking about my nightmare, but about the crash. “I thought.. I though”
I held her tightly, wrapping my arms around her head, holding her into my chest.
“You fucking idiot Shane, you should have just died, Tina doesn’t deserve this. None of your friends deserve to have a fucked up friend like you”
I looked up from Tina, towards my door, where Bette and Alice stood they must have all been downstairs drinking. Alice, walked in first and sat behind me resting her head on my back.
Bette came in and sat beside her wife, together we held each other just like we did in the past, letting me know, that no matter what, we were a family.
I wasn’t sure what time it was when I woke up. Everyone was still laying on my bed, wrapped up and tangled in each others bodies. I slipped out of the knot of limps, quietly put on some clothes, and went to the back yard. I walked slowly toward the shed, and found my old bike.

The morning air was cool in my hair, as I sped down the sleepy streets of the city. I needed to get away, I needed to find myself in the mess that I had gotten myself in.
I needed to be alone. I found myself at my favorite hiding place in all of Austin. My hill that looked over the city, the only home.
I climbed in the trees and laid down on the grass. I breathed in the crisp air, and welcomed the silence. I closed my eyes and thought about the three wonderful women who were in my life. Alice, Bette, Tina and Kit. How all of them had helped me somehow along the way.
