Chapter 82

Bette and Tina joined Alice, Dana, Kit and Shane by the pool.

Alice looked at them. “Well if it isn’t the LOVEBIRDS – finally get enough of each other you two?”

Shane smacked Alice on the arm. “Jeez Al…don’t you ever stop?”


“So should we get the barbeque going?” Tina looked over at Bette – as if saying – ‘Go to it Babe – the barbeque is your domain!’

Bette smiled at Tina. “Yeah, I’ll get it going. I love cooking on the barbeque. It’s so much easier to contain the flames than it is in the oven.” Bette winked at Tina.

“Yeah we know Baby….keep the cooking outside and we’ll continue to have a place to live!”

Just then Jackie and Jake appeared out by the pool. Jackie had Mini in her arms. Jackie said a quick hello to everyone and then said. “Don’t mind us – the puppy has to go – she’ll be back for introductions in a minute!”

Dana turned to Tina. “Another rodent – what ever were you thinking?”

“Come on Dane – you have to admit – she’s really cute! She’s only 8 weeks old and weighs 4 pounds. How can you resist something that small and cute?”

Jackie , Jake and Mini returned from visiting the ‘designated area’ and Jackie again had Mini in her arms.

Bette walked up to Jackie and took Mini from her. “Let’s go meet your auntie Dana!” Bette grinned – it was an evil grin…very evil! Bette took Mini over to where Dana was sitting. Dana didn’t look pleased to be meeting the new arrival.

“Mini – this is Dana – she likes CATS!” Bette held the puppy out in front of her and close to Dana. “This is Mini – she lives here – remember – you don’t!” Mini looked at Dana and turned up the corner of her upper lip and growled.

“Get that damn thing away from me Porter. Do you try to get dogs with nasty dispositions or what?” Dana looked scared and jumped backward.

“Nasty disposition? Mini? God no. This is the sweetest little puppy you’re ever going to meet. Maybe she’s just a good judge of character!” Bette pulled her arms back toward her and held the puppy close to her. She quietly whispered. “Good girl Mini!”

Jake danced around at Bette’s feet. “What bud – do you want me to put your baby down – is that what you want?” Jake jumped up and down – he wanted his puppy and he wanted her bad – he wanted to play Min Pin games.

Bette bent down and placed Mini on the ground. She and Jake ran off into the house together.

Jackie looked at Bette. “I’ll check on them in a little while ok?”

“Yeah thanks mom. That would be great….”

Jackie walked up to Bette and threw her arms around her. Bette was taken a little off guard. What is it with these Kennard women? Jackie whispered into Bette’s ear. “Are you doing ok Sunshine? I’ve been worried about you.”

Bette whispered back to Jackie. “I’m fine mom – thank you for asking.”

Jackie pulled back from Bette slightly. Her arms were still around her. “Sunshine – I’m here for you. I consider you to be my daughter. I’ll always be here for you. You know that don’t you? And I’ll be right by your side during labor and delivery…I’ll be right there for you to lean on if you need to.”

Bette looked at Jackie and smiled. “Thank you so much for being here for me – it means the world to me. And – we all know that Tina is going to be – well – less than charitable during labor and delivery!”

“Sunshine, no matter what happens – or what Tina says to you in labor – please remember that she loves you very much. She adores you Bette. So do I.”

“Just make sure you remind me as she beats me up relentlessly – ok?” Bette managed a smile. Truth be told…she felt like crying. The fact that Jackie told her that she thought of her as her daughter was just so sweet – and just what she needed to hear. A tear fell from her eye and ran down her cheek.

Jackie noticed the tear. She pulled Bette toward her and held her. “I love you Sunshine.” She felt Bette’s body relax and lean into hers. “You’ll be fine…everyone is going to be fine. Now go deck Alice for all of us ok?”

Bette walked over to where Alice was standing. As luck would have it – she was standing near the edge of the pool. “Hey Al…about before…”

“Hey Porter – what’s the matter – can’t take the HEAT!”

Bette glared at Alice. “Ok Al – this is for Tina and Mary Grace! I’m feeling the NEED to teach you a lesson. One you will never forget!” With that – Bette placed her hands on Alice’s shoulders and gave her a nice shove – right into the pool! Bette turned and walked away with an expression of complete and total satisfaction spreading across her face. Alice just stood in the pool in shock.

“What the ***** Porter! Where did that come from!? This means war you know.” Alice tried not to laugh.

“War huh? Bette shot back at her.

“Yeah – war – yuppie!”

“Oh please you damn hippie! Listen – feel free to go into the bedroom and find something dry to put on if you want to.”

“Very gracious of you Porter! I actually came prepared. I have three extra sets of clothes in the car! Nothing like planning ahead – right? Can we call a truce for the night? Please?”

“Ok -but how do I know I can trust you?

“You don’t know you can – so you’ll just have to go on blind faith.” Alice was in fact serious about the truce. She had other plans. She was determined to find out what ISSUE Bette and Tina were dealing with.

“Ok Al – truce. But here’s a warning – if you violate the agreement, I’ll tell Tina! Then you’ll wish you were dead!”

“Ain’t that the truth…deal Bette!”

Bette went to find Tina and Alice went to change and then to find Jackie. She was sure Jackie knew what was going on with Bette and Tina and she was going to get it out of her if it was the last thing she ever did.


“Hey Jackie! You know it is so obvious to me who Tina gets her beautiful looks from.” Alice smiled at Jackie.

“If you say so Alice – ok….” Jackie – not being a fool – knew Alice was up to something!

“Anyway, Jackie, I think that what Bette and Tina are doing – you know having twins as two ***** moms is just so brave…especially with everything they’re going through right now…don’t you?”

“Ah – yeah – brave…very brave.” Jackie just stared at Alice.

“So, what do you think of the current issue they’re dealing with?” Alice looked at Jackie hopefully.

“Alice – you don’t want to end up in the pool again do you? Because if you do, you can keep trying to pump me for information that you’re never going to get out of me. And if you think my little girl has a protective nature and a violent temper – well – just consider the fact that I gave birth to her and taught her everything she knows!”

“Ok….talk to you later.” Alice turned and walked away from Jackie. Jackie just smiled and chuckled and went into the house to check on Jake and Mini.


Bette found Tina by the barbeque. She walked up behind her and wrapped her arms around her. “How are you T? Anything I can do for you?”

“Hey Babe…I’m ok…a little tired though…but ok. What can you do for me? How about you just hold me like this for awhile. It feels so right having your arms around me.” Tina closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling of Bette’s body pressed against hers.

“I could stay like this forever T….at least until one of us needed to pee. Then all bets are off!”

“Oh yeah – of course – the need to pee is always the very thing that guides our course in life – isn’t it?” Tina giggled.

“Yes it is – and you’ll see – it will only intensify when we have two more peeing creatures in the house. It’ll be a regular pee fest around here!” Bette held Tina a little tighter.

“Now, although this is an interesting conversation Bette – can we please change the subject? Why don’t we feed everyone and then tell them all to leave so we can….”

“So we can what T?”

“So we can go to bed early… and…”

“And what T…..so we can….do what T?” Bette had a grin on her face – she knew exactly what Tina was thinking.

“So I can have my way with you Baby….like I promised. Let’s tell them I’m tired – it’s not a lie….”

“Ok – after we eat – I’ll get rid of everyone. My poor tired Baby…awwwww. Turn around T…please.”

Tina spun around in Bette’s arms. They were now standing face to face. Bette smiled at Tina and then kissed her passionately. It would be several seconds before either one of them opened their eyes. “Tina?”

“Yeah Babe?”

“I can’t wait until they all leave. I really want you. I need to …..”

“You need to…..no Bette….I need to show you how much I love you.”

“Ok…I can live with that T. You can show me…but I already know – you know that right?”

“Yeah…I know you know I know you know…whatever…Come on Baby – barbeque so we can get rid of everybody!”


They all shared a quiet dinner and then Bette very nicely told everyone to get out – to please leave so Tina could go to bed early – she needed her rest. Everyone took the hint and even Alice left without a fight – or even a comment. This pregnant tired person excuse was great. Noone ever argued the validity of it!

Jackie took the dogs to bed with her leaving Bette and Tina alone.

Bette looked at Tina. “So – what do you want to do T? Do you want to go to bed?”

“Hmmmm…as opposed to DOING YOU right here in the living room?”

“Ahhh…yeah…where do you want to HAVE ME?”

“Hmmmm – well mom could wake up and catch us if I HAVE YOU right here.”

“And your point T?”

“Oh yeah that’s right – she’s seen it all hasn’t she?”

“Apparently so!”

“Ok – then let’s DO IT right here – in the living room. Just you and me – NOW! You game Porter!?”

“Yeah sure – why not? But don’t you dare tell my girlfriend about this – she’ll kick my *****. She’s got this hormone thingy going on. She has a very nasty temper!”

“Is that so – nasty huh?”

“You heard me – nasty! Really nasty!”

“Bette – come here. Kiss me.” Bette moved closer to Tina and kissed her. “Ok Baby…take off your clothes for me ok?”

Bette did just that. “Ok T – your turn – strip!”

“Strip me Bette – come on you can handle that can’t you?”

“Ah yeah – watch….” Bette quickly removed all of Tina’s clothing – tossing it all over the room as she did so.

“Nice job Porter! Very smooth – where on earth did you learn that?”

“Just born with the skill T – now what?”

“Ok – let me kiss you.” Tina kissed Bette – long and hard. “How was that?”

“Nice – how about some more? I’m not quite sure I …” Tina cut Bette off with another kiss. Bette felt her knees go weak.

“Tina…please….please make love to me….”

“Are you begging Baby…cause if you are…you are so damn ***** when you beg…”

“I’m…I’m begging…”

“Ok…lay down on the couch….yeah like that Baby….my God look at you.” Tina’s eyes traveled up and down Bette’s body. “You are just so beautiful Baby…so beautiful….” Tina got on her knees along side the couch. “So Baby…is it ok if I kiss you – everywhere?”

“Yes.”

Tina kissed her way down Bette’s neck…to her chest….she pulled one of Bette’s nipples into her mouth while her hand teased her other nipple. Bette moaned as Tina continued to lick and kiss and suck her way down her body.

Tina looked up at Bette’s face. “Babe …you are so *****!” Tina continued to kiss Bette – everywhere and anywhere she could reach. She ran her fingers over Bette’s tummy and down her hips. She caressed Bette’s thighs – lightly moving her fingers over her skin. “God Bette – your skin – God Bette….your….” Tina moved her mouth down between Bette’s legs. Bette’s hips rose off of the couch as Tina’s tongue made contact with her wetness. Keeping her tongue and lips firmly in contact with Bette – Tina slid two fingers into her. Bette gasped as Tina entered her. Tina moved her fingers in and out of Bette as she continued to use her tongue to make love to her. As Bette neared her climax – Tina kept her tongue and lips firmly in place….she continued moving her fingers at a steady pace. As Bette went over the edge she pushed Tina’s head into her. She cried out in ecstacy. Tina didn’t move until Bette’s breathing returned to normal. It was only then that she climbed onto the couch in front of Bette. Bette wrapped her arm over her after pulling a blanket off the back of the couch – covering them – keeping them warm..Bette buried her face in Tina’s hair. She whispered. “Thank you Baby – thank you for loving me Tina.” Tina didn’t answer – she had already fallen asleep. Bette whispered again. “I love you Tina – please don’t ever leave me – stay here forever and love me. I love you Sweetie.” Bette held Tina close – listening to her breathe – feeling her heart beating. “I love you…I love you….I really love you T….” Bette drifted off to sleep holding Tina in her arms – right where she belonged!
