CHAPTER 7
Tina got up extra early so she could surprise Bette. She placed 6 Lilies on the passenger seat of Bette’s car, and a note that said ‘ I hope you have a great day, bring a saddle Friday… love T’. Then she went to run her 3 miles.
Bette woke up with a huge grin as her mind drifted back to her date with Tina. Today was the first day of practice with the team, introductions to staff and just getting a feel for the organization. Typically she might feel a little reserved on a day where so many new things were occurring, but today, she was already feeling a bounce in her step.

Tina finished her run, showered and had gotten dressed for work. She was a little nervous as this was her first day being introduced to the coaching staff, and her first time running a team. At the same time, she wondered just when Bette was going to go to her car and notice what she had left for her. She couldn’t believe how much of her brain had been spent already thinking of this amazing brunette. There seemed to be this incredible magnet that was just pulling at both of them, and as much as Tina was going to try to make sure she didn’t come across too easy by going to bed with Bette, there was nothing she wanted more. The good thing, was that on this morning where she was feeling a few butterflies, thoughts of Bette seemed to fill make her feel more calm.

As Bette got into her car, she saw the flowers and picked up the note. She read it and smiled……a smile that would remain as she drove to work. She texted a quick message to Tina as she was driving, telling her that she made her day.
She stopped at the red light, and as she did, she looked over to her right to see her own image on a billboard, wearing her home uniform; black with silver trim, a basketball, her number 9 jersey . She was spinning the ball on 1 finger. At the bottom , the caption said “Come and be a Witness!” The light changed, and at the next light was the CAC. Upon pulling in, she showed her pass and parked her car.

Congrats Vols! Of course, it took a little time for us in Husky Nation to figure out who to cheer for – inconference rival or outofconference rival. All I can say is that a lot of UCONN fans never thought they would be cheering for UT – myself included! Great story!

I sure hope that Pokey has a better time of this new job then the last. She is an awesome coach and I hope that she lands somewhere soon. Love the players that make up the teams. Now add Tammy Reese and Carolyn Peck and I will jump for joy. Does Bette know that Tina works for an opposing Team? I hope that that will not be a problem. A co-worker’s daughter was in an accident that sent her and her boyfriends car off into some trees on I-10. They both got out just in time because it exploded within minutes of their exit. Can’t wait for the next post.

Great chapter!!!!! I love how you are using real present players and past players of womens basketball to tell your story. I also, was happy to see that Kelly Jolly is part of this story ( she is one of my favorites from UT. I think I told you that before, anyways what about our TEAM Winning it ALL. That game was great. Keep up the great writting. I love the tibette stories and yours is one of the best.

Hmm….I’m sure you know that one..*snickering* She silently walked up behind Bette and placed her hands on Bette’s hips, which caused Bette to stand still in the position she had. Tina brought her mouth in to Bette’s ear and whispered.”If you open your hips wider, but bring your feet closer and plant them here, your shot will be better”YUMMY – **** THUD **** a few things are making me go Thud this week, and that line was just pure lust and hotness…mm-mmm go Tina. Just remember Tee…blondes sometimes have more fun, BUT brunettes at least remember it the next day. ROFLMAOOO…god I’m sorry, but someone shared that with me the other night and I laughed my ass off when she did. I guess it’s all in how it is voiced….writing it does no justice.Many hugs my friend, and I’m loving the Fic. So many angles and such. Oh BTW, I am NOT always in *** …just saying. Love and Hugs.
oh 2 experience what T has where her brother is concerned must b hard. wonder how B will respond when she finds out and all the stuff that comes along with it…..dreams, sleepless nights, memories coming up when new memories jog them back to life. its fiction I know. lol pps

The things that come out of their mouth(not tongue) is so HOOOOTTT. Looks like Bette will be playing with some of the best. Tamiks Catchings is from my home town and grad from here. Wondering how the new coach from Duke will do here in Texas. maybe pretty BlueEyes in Tenn will have a good rival again. MBA will start 22 and I go into the hospital 25th.
