Heartbeat – Chapter 15
Previously
“It’s okay. Let just go back to sleep.” Bette pulled the blonde close to her and snuggled deep underneath the comforter. “I don’t remember having a comforter.”
“Kit must have done it.” Tina replied and she held Bette tighter against her. “This feels really nice.”
“Yeah, it does.” Bette answered. She closed her eyes and within minutes she and Tina were both asleep for the second time.
Chapter 15
“I’ll call you when I get to casino in Connecticut, baby sis.” Kit said, pulling Bette in for a hug. “I’ll be performing at the Beacon at the end of the mouth, so maybe we can meet up then.”
“That’ll be great Kit. Just let me know exactly when and I’ll save the date for you.” Bette returned her sister’s hug. Her relationship with her older sister was not always smooth sailing. They had their ups and downs during the years, but had become close when Kit moved to L.A. and closer still when their father, Melvin, passed away.
Kit pulled her sister tighter. “Good luck with Tina.” She whispered. “Make sure the two of you talk and that it’s not straight to sex.”
“Kit…” Bette pulled away. “Okay, I promise. I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll miss you too, baby sis.” Kit stepped back and eyed the blonde standing a few feet from her. “Now, you…the same thing goes for you too, baby girl.” Kit stepped up to Tina. She held her at arms’ length before drawing her in for an embrace. “Here’s your second chance. Talk to each other…talk to each other like you’ve never done before. Really open up this time instead of holding it in… afraid to hurt each other. The two of you have been given a second chance and not many people get that. If this is meant to be, you’ll find a way.”
“I will Kit. I won’t be afraid.” Tina promised. She gave Kit a hug and stepped back to stand next to Bette.
Kit climbed in the back of the car service. She rolled down the window and gave the two women final wave goodbye.
Tina handed the valet driver a tip after holding the door open for her. Once Bette was buckled in the passenger seat, Tina pulled away from the main entrance of the Borgata.

Great update. They have a lot to talk about, hope they can forgive each other andd move forward together. Thanks for posting.
Indeed they have to talk it’s the only way to clear things up… great chapter tee post soon!
i hope they both reach out to each other and set aside their anger to fix things.
This talk is going to be tough; Tina and Bette both seem to have shut down at the memory of going through their “thing”. Maybe a few hours of space will help them prepare for the conversation they desperately need to have, but hopefully they’ll heed Kit’s advice. Thanks, tg. :)
I hoe they talk. Thank you for this story
Thanks for the explanations in this chapter. There’s obviously a lot of unprocessed regret going on.
They need to talk. They are both not innocent.Thank you for this story.PPS
I don’t know how they are going to be able to come back together when they still have a hard time being honest with one another. I question how mature they really are if they can’t tell each other the truth. SO sad. Best of luck with their much needed talk.
This is so good and hope they will talk and work thing out
Communications is their biggest failure and after years you would think they got it right by now but typical tibette, I cant see bette hitting tina no matter what tina does to her so that was awkward to read…so sad the cheating and lies destroyed one of the greatest love of all time, hopefully it can be rebuild
