Heartbeat – Chapter 10
Previously…
“Yes.” Bette looked at her with her heart. “Yes," she said, pulling Tina closer. Their bodies flushed. She cupped Tina’s cheek and caressed it with the pad of her thumb. She lowered her head and pressed her lips softy against Tina’s dusty-rose colored lips.
Chapter 10
The two women stood in the middle of Tina’s bedroom and continued to sway. Bette lifted her lips from Tina’s.
Tina cupped Bette’s face in her hands. She touched her lips to hers and felt the brunette tremble. Just the brief taste caused her to burn. They kissed again, lingering longer. Both women emitted a moan. When they parted both women were slow to open their eyes.
Bette took Tina’s mouth again. She felt the pleasure. Pleasure she had not felt in a long time. Her body was greedy for that pleasure and pulled the blonde closer to her.
Tina was no longer kissing the memory, but the woman now. She knew what she would taste like as the brunette parted her lips. Her hands lightly crawled Bette’s toned biceps and oh how she remembered those biceps. Her body trembled as it strained against the brunette.
Bette’s dreams of the blonde came flooding back to her. It was her. It had always been her. She pulled back to look at Tina, whose eyes had turned green… the shade of green that had always made her want her more. Her soft lips were parted and swollen and hands had lost themselves in her hair. Their years lost had not lessened the emotion the blonde could evoke from her just by that one look.
Tina’s heart was beating too fast. Bette had always been able to do that to her…ever since the first night at the gallery…their first meeting. She leaned her forehead against Bette’s.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that.” Bette apologized.
“It’s fine.” Tina looked Bette in the eye. “I kissed you back.”
Bette nodded, “Yes. About earlier…”
“Shh, you don’t have to explain. When you’re ready, I’ll be here.” She reassured the brunette. “Are you okay?” She felt the brunette nod. “Do want to talk? We can go downstairs…maybe have some wine. Whatever you want.” She interlocked her fingers with Bette’s, the warmth giving her comfort. She wanted Bette to decide the next move. Seeing Bette lying on the gurney only days before brought a panic in her that she never hoped to experience again.

Hope Kit takes it easy on Tina
Hope Kit takes it easy on Tina
I was thinking the same thing as wkm, hoping that Kit does not read the riot act to Tina as she has been known to do. If everyone would just leave them alone they will find their way together without any inteference from the others. Thanks for posting a wonderful chapter.
Thanks for the update. I don’t think that Kit will act anyway but friendly as Bette is with Tina and I don’t think would want to embarrass her.
Im glad u have power now. I know 20 electricians from a electric company here in virginia went to jersey or new york to help and they turned down their help because they were not union workers.
Thats good and hope Kit not kick Tinas ass ahahha. Please post more, thanks!
Hey Tee! Glad you made it through the storm, chick… Look like Tina though should prepare herself for Stormy Kit! was wondering though who of the two cheated first…. ? Well there is only one solution..to find the answer, I will have to re-read all the chapters! ;0)
I’m glad that you’re okay, too. Haha Tina Turner, it was funny :) Never expected this change. It’s pretty cool. Thx for posting
I think it’s a good idea to put the brakes on what appeared to be a runaway train headed in a certain direction. You know. Women like to process.

Glad you’re alright, tg. It’s just as well they’re taking it slow(er). The past few years aren’t going to be resolved in a night… but they’re making a good start. Thanks for posting. :)
