Chapter 47
The cab dropped Tina off at her house she had debated whether to have the taxi driver take her to Bette house or to hers she had finally decided to go home it was past 4 in the morning and though she had slept through most of the plane right she felt dead tired, she knew Bette had a long week she didn’t want to wake her.
She dropped her bags by the door and made her way upstairs to her bedroom, she stopped at the door as the vision of a sleeping Bette in her bed took her breath away, Tina felt her heart flip flop, realizing this was just what she needed, this was what she had been missing, this is what she wanted to walk home to every night.
She kicked off her shoes and took her jacket off, she quietly made her way to her bed and gently sat next to the love of life, the light of the moon casting a perfect shadow on her lovers face as Tina gently reached over and caressed Bette’s cheek gently moving locks of stray hair back from her face.
Bette stirred; Tina leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on Bette’s forehead as she heard Bette whisper…
"Tina"
Bette slowly opened her eyes, she wondered if she was dreaming as she saw Tina sitting there looking down on her.
"Hi" Tina whispered
"T, what are you doing here?"
"I live here" Tina chuckled
Bette smiled she leaned forward and wrapped her arms around Tina waist.
“God, I missed you, when did you get in?”
"About an hour ago…I was debating whether I should tell the driver to bring me here or take me to your place, I’m glad I came here I would have been very upset not finding you home at 4am"
Bette sat up smiling she placed a kiss on Tina’s lips
“I am so glad your home”
“Go back to sleep. I’m just going to wash up I’ll be right back”
Tina crept back into the room where Bette was waiting with open arms, Tina snuggled close as Bette wrapped her arms around Tina and pulled even closer.
