    Author Notes:

    Bette has a night out on the town with her new colleagues and some univited but not unwelcome guests.

                   Bette rolled over and met an empty pillow where she was expecting Tina.  Damn, would she ever get used to the emptiness that hit her when she reached for the blonde only to find that she was not there. Angelica was with Tina. She had dropped her off last night.  Once she was fully oriented she rose and headed off to the shower. 

     

                As Bette approached her office she smiled in greeting to the faces that were slowly becoming familiar to her.  It was a different work environment for her.  She was used to operating solo from day to day.  While she was a gallery owner she planned openings or met with potential artists individually.  It was pretty much the same at the CAC in her daily operations.  The staff and people she came into contact with in those environments were pretty limited.  She found that she dealt with more people as a Dean than she had since she herself was in college.  It took some getting used to. 

     

                She was checking her e-mail when she heard a voice at her door.

     

                “Hey, good looking”.

     

                She looked up and found Joanna idling in her doorway.

     

                “Hey yourself” Bette greeted her with a smile. The blonde haired blue-eyed woman in her doorway was pleasant to look at.  Joanna was the chair of the Women’s Studies Department and an openly bisexual woman.  There were times that Joanna seemed to undress Bette with her eyes and while she was flattered she was also a bit nervous.  She had not been dating since her latest break up with Tina.  When she and Tina were together it was easy to deflect interested women with the statement that she was in a committed monogamous relationship.  Now there was no such barrier.

     

                Joanna met Bette’s gaze and continued her open admiration of the brunette before her.   “A few of us were wondering if you could pull some strings and get us into the party at The Planet tonight.”

     

                “What party?” Bette frowned; she did not remember Kit saying anything about a special event this evening.  Friday nights tended to be big at The Planet and did not really need special promotions.

    2. Competition is always fun. I like drama..I personally want2c Tina burn. I honestly like Joanna and I want to see the2of them battle it out for Bette..either way they r2bisexuals fighting for BP’s attention :D swt…great strie..plz post soon

    3. Robin is right those two are not over. I am believing that Bette will not have much to do with Joanna when she does find out that she plays for both teams. Plus, she still has very strong feelings for one Tina Kennard mother of Angelica Kennard Porter. Hopefully not to much drama though.

    4. I like Joanna for one reason…she is making Tina see what she is missing. Tina CLEARLY is not over Bette. I say let them duke it out. This should be interesting. Bette might not be looking for a relationship but she could be looking for some fun and Joanna might be the one for fun…What does Tina mean she still has to talk to Bette about dating? She is “dating-f*cking” Henry Beete has no say so in that lil ta-tah-ta…so what could Tina possibly say to Bette? Don’t let me see you with anyone it hurts too much? PA-LEASE.

Of course they’re not over, never were and never will be… I mean is THE PLANET, the only takeout store in LA…and does Henry live with Henry in the valley or not? sorry I’ve been busy so you might have already answered that question…I loved your previous story…I will go back and catch up on this RIGHT NOW…PPS…and remember THEY ARE NOT OVER!!!!

Bloody brilliant, I went back to read…and did comment a couple of times at ch1 and 2 I think…and I admit it the title put me off…I hate that song, it depresses me and I assumed the worst…BUT I have renewed hope after reading all of it….I hope my hopes are fulfilled…letz have a Tina and Bette slow-burn thru dating like they should have in s2 to rebuild their relationship..they love each other and NO ONE especially bi-Joanna is gonna mess with that…PPS
