**Knocking at the door**
Howie – “Dana, Alice, Shane is here, you guys ‘busy’, can I come in?”
Dana dropped her head back onto the bed and just said fuck. Alices` face conveyed exasperation and she screwed her eyes up and put her head onto Danas shoulder. She was so disappointed, when would that perfect moment come again now? She couldn’t rush and say it now with Howie hovering around. Dana was cursing both Howie and Shane. Why now? The moment had gone.
Dana whispered sorry to Alice and pulled the sheets up over their bodies. “Come in Howie.”
Howie poked his head around the door and saw the two of them in each others arms. Alice raised her head and looked across at Howie and Dana lifted hers.
Howie – “I am so sorry ladies, but Shane is in the lounge for you both. Everything sorted out?”
Dana – “It will be ok Howie. Tell Shane to make herself a coffee and keep her occupied for a few minutes please.”
Howie – “Will do! And by the way you two are so made for each other, bit nauseating but sweet.” He grinned at Dana.
Dana reached over and got one of Alices` pillows and threw at him telling him to get out. Howie chuckled, threw the pillow back, hitting Alice and closed the door. Alice looked back at Dana and faked a smile, cursing that she hadn’t told her she loved her.
Dana – “I intend to ring my current job and ask to see my boss Mary, to speak to her. I can not afford to leave that job until I have found another one though. I think I will have to work out a months notice.”
Alice – “I can not lose you for that time. Can you not just walk out? I will keep you until you get something over here.”
Dana – “I can not live off your money Al.”
Alice – “If you want you can pay me back, I know how independent you are. I will keep a running tab! You may have pay in some other form.” Alice wiggled her eyebrows, dispersing some of the tension that had built up.
Dana – “You never give up do you! I can not walk out on her because she was so good to me, giving me time off during my break-up with Lisa and being a friend with emotional support. But I will see what she says.”
Alice – “I will never give up on us, Dana. I guess I could come over in between filming. I could always see what jobs are going around at the studios and with some of my contacts in L.A. if you want.”
Dana – “Ok, thanks. I guess we had better make an effort to go and see what that pair are up to.”
Alice kissed Dana with all her heart and soul and Dana did the same. They reluctantly pulled apart, threw on some clothes and headed for the lounge, hand in hand.

Aww they are so sweet! I love how Alice and Dana talk about their real feelings. And Howie is cute, though sometimes he become a pain in the ass. Thanks chillipepper, PPS! :)
As much as they could read each other’s mind through their eyes, I think these two needed to hear the actual words that they loved each other. A being A while D being D, in just about every single story, their insecurity got the better of them. I too hope that they would get another quiet moment to really talk things out. I also hope that the intensity of their new found relationship would perpetuate even if they must live apart. Well done, chillipepper and Happy New Year!

why can’t they just say it?!! howie and shane, great timing huh! but i think saying “i love you” to each other is just an icing to their relationship since they obviously both knew that they love each other dearly..i hope they get their another perfect moment together the soonest since dana is leaving soon..great update chillipepper..keep it up..please post soon..
This is a way cute story, I like fanfics in which Alice is the ‘famous’ one in the relationship. She just seems so plausible as a rockstar, probably cause Leisha is. Anyway great chap, Howie is a bit of a dicky little brother at times lol, damn him for interrupting. Also I think they should be putting that hot tub to good use *wink wink* :)

Great update, chillipepper!! I am sure that “I love you” moment will come again. They seem to be doing so well at progressing their relationship. If they keep communicating well, they should be able to withstand any separation they might have. Thanks so much!!
