Dana – “If it is any consolation, I have been holding back too. You know some of my recent heartbreak but there is something that makes me really nervous about us!”

Alice – “Oh … do you want me to know!”

Dana – “I think you better had. I told you about Lisa, my ex. Well, there has only been her and one other girl.”

Alice was shocked at this revelation. Only two women!

Dana – “The thing is, what I am trying to say is, that I am worried that I don’t have the experience to … fulfil your needs.”

Alice gasped – “Hey Dana, just because you have been with two women does not worry me at all. In fact it is sweet! Quite a turn on actually.”

Dana blushed – “But there is more. Oh here goes. I came out to my parents about 6 or 7 years ago now. I was with Lisa for 4 years.” Alice sat enthralled. “Well, we weren’t intimate for the last, well I guess nearly two years of our relationship, and after I gained the courage to leave the relationship a few months ago, there has been no-one else.”

Alice nodded, then Danas` admission sank in with all its implications. Dana sat looking at Alice with her eyebrows raised, waiting for the penny to drop.

Alices` face turned to one of shock and surprise. “Oh my God Dana. Are you saying that, you haven’t been with anyone for, over two years?”

Danas` heart sank and she started to get up. – “I knew it would be an issue, I am sorry I have wasted your time, I better go.”

Alice grabbed her arm and pulled her back down on to the sofa. – “Hey, it’s not an issue for me at all. But boy, how have you coped? Fucking hell! Surely women were falling over themselves to be with you Dana, you‘re so hot?”

Dana – “Ok Al, thanks! So, where do we go from here?”

Alice – “Well, I am not going to rush you. I have deep feelings for you and I want us to work. Your … circumstances make no difference to how I feel. I will wait until you are ready!”
