“Tina…”

The blonde’s heart drummed against her chest upon hearing that voice. She was sure she was wide-awake and not dreaming but was the voice she just heard for real or was it just an illusion? A pigment of her imagination? She turned to the direction where the voice came from and felt butterflies in her stomach when she saw the caramel skinned beauty walking towards her who was wearing a layered white tank with a sleeveless white cheese cloth ruffled tunic tied with string at the waist and paired it with blue jeans and flat sandals with toe loops.

Casual yet oozing with sex appeal.

Bette could see the complete surprise showing on the blonde’s face; Tina didn’t say anything so she started walking closer to her. Tina had seen so many beautiful women in her life but Bette’s beauty was truly exceptional and no one had that effect on her than the heavenly creature that was now standing in front of her

“May I?”

The blonde just nodded

The brunette sat on the other lounger beside the blonde

“Why are you here Bette?” the hazel-eyed beauty asked, her voice soft

That was the kind of question that could probably elicit several reasons, but all she was able to say was

 “I’m here because of you…”

They held each other’s gaze. Bette noticed that the blonde’s eyes were red and she knew that Tina had been crying.

She’d thought that she wouldn’t see the brunette anymore. She had resigned to the idea that after all the bad things that she’d put the brunette through Bette wouldn’t want to see her. She even told herself that there was no point of seeing the caramel skinned beauty anymore and now hearing those words coming from the same woman, touched her heart in a very profound way. Tina felt the tears threatening to fall and she didn’t want the brunette to see that, she looked down to hide it

“You don’t have to be here Bette… After all of the evil things that I did to you, you’ve got every right to run away from me and besides you’ve already fulfilled your end of the bargain right?”

Silence fell between them. Bette turned her gaze to the beautiful beach and she couldn’t help but admire the amazing view. The cool breeze of the air was now brushing her caramel skin and yet she didn’t mind for the soothing sound of the waves of the ocean calmed her and made her feel more relaxed.
