    CHAPTER 88 – HURRICANE HELENA

     

    With them both lightly joking, they arrived at the restaurant and walked in hand in hand.  While Bette approached the maitre d, Tina excused herself to go to the restroom to perform a little repair on her face.  When Tina emerged she once again had a smile on her face as she spotted Bette standing to wait for her.  She seemed deep in thought as Tina approached.  As soon as Bette heard Tina’s soft steps she turned and smiled a radiant smile that lit up the world for Tina.  When their eyes met they were the only two in the restaurant.  Tina felt like she was gliding across the room on Bette’s arm as she led the way. 

     

    The two held hands and bent their heads close together as they shared an intimate dinner.  Determined to keep the conversation light, Bette lead the way as she directed the evening through calm waters.  Her only goal was to get Tina to relax and calm down after the earlier turbulence. 

     

    As the evening finally wound down, Bette took a smiling Tina home.  As they came through the front door and closed it securely, Bette pulled Tina in for a sweet gentle kiss.  As they both pulled back Tina looked up to Bette “would you be terribly disappointed if we just went to bed.  I’m pretty beat.”

     

    Bette just pulls Tina close in a full body embrace, talking into her ear “No Babe that would be fine with me just let me hold you.”

     

    “Always” Tina responds as she savors the feel of Bette.

     

    Safely tucked into Bette’s arms, Tina couldn’t fall asleep.  She was exhausted from today’s turn of events yet her mind wouldn’t turn it off.  The images just kept playing in her mind.  The question of how that view could be so different from her own plagued Tina.  The saying the camera never lies kept running through her head.  Tina tried to run through her sexual encounters she had with Helena.  At first Tina believes that they were making love.  But even she needed to admit that by the time those pictures were taken, judging by the stage of her pregnancy, that she was just using Helena as a release.  Yes they had been explicit and yes Helena was prone to wanting to almost exclusively have ***** in public places.  When Tina contemplates this thought she realizes just how easy it would have been for someone to snap those pictures.  Tina’s mind moves on to wonder if Helena had actually commissioned someone to take those or had they just been presented to her as blackmail or something that she just really dug. 

     

    Feeling the rigidness of Tina’s body, Bette decides they need to talk.  In a quiet voice that lovers have when their in bed together “They were altered.”

     

    “What” Tina response in the same half whisper.

     

    “Those pictures, Helena had them altered.”  After saying this Bette can feel Tina sag a little as if this was the key to her relaxing.

     

    “Oh God I can’t tell you how much I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how my experience could be so different than the one on display.” Tina confesses.

     

    Now Tina moves a little closer if that was possible.   As she settles in her mind begins to again spin the fact Helena‘s pictures were a lie.  She had put that lie out for the world to see.  Now all the sudden Tina was pissed.  She was once again ready to kill Helena.  How could she have signed that waiver without knowing it? 

     

    Feeling Tina tense again “Babe please let it go we will figure it all out in the morning.” Bette says.

     

    “But it’s all a lie.” Tina says vehemence.

     

    “T, I promise we will figure this out together.  Just get some sleep now.”  Bette tries to lull Tina into a peaceful security.

     

    Finally relenting to Bette’s pleas Tina relaxes “I like that together part.”

     

    Bette just smiles as she feels Tina cozy up.

    8. Thanks for posting this chapter for Jwet, and Jwet, this was a GREAT chapter. I think that it is time for Bette to let Tina know that she was present during Anna’a birth (It is the reason that she knows that the photographs were altered.). To all of our friends and fellow readers, Helena is the kind of person that you are successful with punishing by physcially harming. No you have to publicily (remember she like public shows) humiliate her, say proving that she had pictures altered form a public show or a missapropreation of funds.
      Oh yeah, lets not forget about Bette’s desert.

      Bette: Sooooo super smooth, controlled, loving, caring and oh so super supportive and calming for Tina. Ahhhhhhhhhh, oh did I mention super sexy?

What you wrote on how T&B handle Hurricane Helena – was superby – there was dignity and the most impt thing is that both T&B did not stoop to as low level as Helena – the dialogue was superb as usual. hve a good holiday

    19. Has Hurricane Helena really passed, or is this just the eye of the storm?

      Helena uses schoolyard bullying to gain attention when conventional methods no longer work. She’s working Bette’s last nerve and if I were Helena, I’d be careful. Don’t let Bette’s calm demeanor fool you…for one minute.

      I’m glad that Bette told Tina that the pictures were mock-ups. She needed to know that so she could move on or steady herself for future surprises from Helena.

      Bette’s affair is like a scar. The location makes it invisible to most, but they both know it’s there. Nothing can erase it, but time will make it diminish.

    21. I did my ‘research’ and good thing too, because I forgot about the Yellow and White roses and the card reading “you were beautiful in the moment”. Helena can hide her confusion then, but she won’t now. She may have been able to ‘seperate and conquer’ but she can’t do harm to the power that is Tina and Bette and their framily!

      I just love this build–up to the demolition of Hurricane Helena. Typhoon Tina and Battling Bette will surely not rest until all of the huff and puff of this storm has been annihilated. It will be well deserved given Hellena’s recent behavior. To sink soo low and be soo public is really casting the nets into the sewages and I will applaud as life reasserts the balance and pay back is delivered on a silver platter.
      I have a feeling the Peggy may come into the mix and sort her progeny out once and for all. Although I am sure that the reunited Bette and Tina are more that up to dealing with this challenge.
      This chapter really evolves fantastic imagery as the heated discussion starts to hit the explosive stage prior to the overload and volcanic eruption fail safes. This is down to a brilliant author using their fabulous skills to craft and develop these characters and the situation.
      I can picture the looks of shock and horror turning to disbelief then disgust on Tina’s face while Bette’s moves from fortitude to distain to love. All the while Hell’s is smugly superior. Guess it will take more than soap and water to remove it.
      Wonderfully descriptive passages that ensnare the audience are ever present. The gentle and tender guilt ridden reconciliation between Bette and Tina is so heartfelt. These gals now embrace their honesty and openness even when it is difficult to initiate. Hurrah! They have truly learnt life’s lessons here.
      As for questions:
      Did I hear a bell as the battle royale between Bette and Tina in the red corner and Hurricane Hellcat in the blue? Could Alice, Shane and Dana be the Round Number Gals with Short skirts and Bikini Tops? Will Kit be Bette and Tina’s coach ready with the bucket? (I can picture her doing it all) Will Bette and Tina tag team Hellcat?
      How many public indecency charges has Hellcat bought herself out off? Will Tina get any royalities?
      All these and more will be answered in the coming weeks.
