    Chapter 56 – The Old Days with the Gang

    Well Im done for now and was thinking about lunch are you two ready? Dana says trying to change the subject.

    Sure Alice pipes in just as a cell phone starts ringing.

    Hey thats me. Give me just a moment. Bette says as she looks down at the caller ID and sees that its Tina. Bettes million dollar smile lights up her face as she stands as she is answering the phone.

    Well I guess we all know who that is dont we? Alice whispers to Dana.

    Chapter 56 – The Old Days with the Gang

    Tina that was all that Bette could get out as she answered and waited to hear the tone of Tinas voice.

    Hey Bette I was just calling to see how you are doing? Tina asks in a warm bright voice which immediately reinforces the smile already plastered on Bettes face.

    Oh Im good. Bette says in a dreamy tone. Thanks again for last night I had a great time, dinner was incredible and that place was amazing. Bette says as she finds herself rambling a bit but wanting to let Tina know she is happy.

    Im glad you liked it. The first time I heard about that place I thought of you. I wanted so to experience it with you. Thanks. Tina says as she just sighs into the phone.

    As Bette is talking on the phone to Tina she is totally absorb in the conversation and does even remember she has an audience. As Alice and Dana watch and hear Bettes side of the conversation the each look at each other and Alice just winks at Dana which makes them both laugh as little in happiness.

    After a moment of silence Bette and Tina both started to talk at the same time.

    I want to go out Tina started then stopped.

    Im here at the Bette started and stopped as well Oh .. No you go ahead Tina.

    I was wondering what you were doing tomorrow? Tina decides to take the direct approach. Im thinking maybe brunch, possibly at the Planet. What do you think? Tina gets out.

    Wow that would be fun sort of like the old days with the gang. Bette says.

    7. Another great chapter Jwet, I love this open Bette, actually I love her any way she is, but this Bette is all soft and squishy and cuddly. Very cute!!

      Now, onto Down Low. I think we need to have a private conversation about this woman!! Do you know I love her to bits, she is an amazing person and it has been an absolute pleasure to of been assistance, lol. You reep what you sow and I have gained so much from her in return. Regardless of the fact we live on different sides of the world, I have made a very special friend thanks to this site.

    17. LOL! Didn’t mean to scare you off but it is a reality that I live with. Fortunately I’ve never had to experience one myself but I do have friends who weren’t as lucky. I really like this Bette. Her self confidence is so attractive that it endears you to her. Before, it was over the top arrogance and I often wondered how Tina accepted it…even though Bette did peg it down a notch or two with her. However, having to eat the proverbial ‘humble pie’ has really helped Bette to evolve into her own little ‘Yoda’. She knows now that she isn’t all knowing and is comfortable with that. She has accepted responsibilty for her actions and has released that death grip of control on everything and everyone. They say having kids makes you re-evaluate what’s important in life and this is so true. Even though Bette realised what she had sacrficed before little Anna was born, her daughter just acted as a catalyst in the entire process. Your evolution of the BnT characters is superb; very much inkeeping with the characters portrayed on the show itself. Great chapter, wonderful series.

    20. I love your characterisations of B&T. They seemed to be almost going this way on the show during S2, although arrogant Bette and passive Tina kind of made a comeback in the end!
      I’m very intrigued to read your take on why Bette DID have the affair. Your story is really nicely paced, and I can’t wait for more!
