    Chapter 17 – Invitations

    Alice was all over the place in her thoughts as she sat at her desk and tried to reason through her next course of action. Even though it was well after noon, Alice still had the jitters from all the caffeine that she had consumed this morning. It wasnt helping her focus on the project at hand in any way, shape or form if anything it was just making her jump from thought to thought without providing the connection she usually was so good at. Alice couldnt shake the feeling she had the first time she met Jackie having dinner with Bette. They looked too close, like they were conspiring together about something or was that an intimacy that comes when you are together with someone. It definitely was something, but Alice just couldnt quite tell what.

    I know that I am missing something that is right in front of my face Alice is saying to herself. What do I already know and is there any importance to them. But also what dont I know and need to find out?

    Bette Potter –
    My gut tells me she is up to something
    OK I know that Bettes been distracted but for how long? Well since forever but really more around the time her father died.
    How are things going at the CAC for Bette? Maybe I need to have a chat with James

    The Reverend Jackson Pillary – one of board members, doesnt usually do much must be a good cause for him to get involved
    Is Bette involved in some way with this foundation????
    Must get appointment with the attorney who set up the foundation Jack Ruston
    Where did the money for the foundation originate from?????
