“I want you to know that I will have
you and Tina’s back while we’re going through this until it’s done.” Shane says
still feeling out what to say. “I guess
my question for you how much do you want to know? I will tell you before you answer, I know
that Tina will be exposed in this process.
No matter how much we want to protect her,
I won’t let anything happen to her.
That’s not my question, my question is do you want to know the details
of how I am going to do this or do you trust me?”
Bette stops all her motion with the leg
as she listens to Shane. Tears prick her
eyes, Bette knows that Shane is not speaking lightly. “Shane I trust you more than anyone else in
the world other than Tina. I couldn’t
imagine putting my family into any better hands.” With that Bette turns and hugs Shane to let
her know just how much she appreciates her being there for them all.
When they break the embrace Bette
continues “Shane I have only one request.
Don’t do anything that can get you hurt and don’t tell me any details
unless it becomes clear that Tina or Anna are in peril. You know as well as I do that I am going to
be in court testifying. If I am not
privy to the details I can’t be asked any questions I would have to lie about.”
Shane understood what Bette meant. Nodding her head “Thanks Bette. I love you guys.”
Bette nods “That says it all
Shane.”
“Bette just so you know I’ll be out of
town until the end of the week. I just
wanted you to know, don’t worry.”
Chapter 125 – Nemesis is that a Plan?
“I want to thank you for all your cooperation
in assisting me make this as unobtrusive as possible.” Jack says to Mason
Elliot, general counsel for the hospital where Tina delivered Anna. Jack extended his hand for Mason to shake.
Mason Elliot had been told to cooperate
with Jack’s effort to get statements from all present during the delivery of
Anna Kennard. Dr. Wilson had personally
called him to help facilitate this endeavor by Tina Kennard’s attorney. To that end Mason had reserved a conference
room in the administration area of the hospital for Jack to use for the
remainder of the day. Mason also had
pulled the staff from that day one year ago.
Of the eight staff present that day with the various shifts involved, only
six were still employed by the hospital, five of which were available today for
interviews. The one absent employee was
currently on pregnancy leave herself.

Shane is very “people” resouceful. I find it amazing that despite knowing so many people, she is “family” with Tina, Bette, Kit, Alice and Dana. Says something about this wonderful group of people, doesn’t it? And from the sounds of it, Irene may be part of the “family” soon. Thanks for posting again. I got to read early since I don’t have to be at class till later! This has cheer me up considerably. Have a good day!
JWet,I have been MIA the last few days but am now back with avengence.Oh my, oh my what has been going on in these last few chapters; mystery, subterfuge and plans for retaliation. Attack is the best defense against HellCat. Hit her straight between the eyes and then get the hell outta there.This was classic stuff for your good self; hilarity from Alice and Dana. I do have Herbie image going through my head after the gals car journey counter balanced by the marvelous birthday and fallout for Anna.The sudden devious and twisted nature from Grace was brilliant. Something you can only get where you are going by playing outside of the rules. As long as you know when to through in your cards and walk away then the game is fair.As for Irene, fantastic the she took Yoda’s advice and sorted things with her mom. And guess what, all is well in the end.Shane has been a revelation in her protection of Bette and Tina. This gal will do whatever it takes to safeguard her family. Can’t wait to see where this journey leads to next as I know I am in safe hands.More real soon.Your Loyal Fan.
Jwet I’m being audited! Ok, so maybe not me but my company is…the sad part is that I am the internal auditor for my company, so I’m partially under review as well. They’re here for the week from Chicago so I’m busy busy busy. But, I had to spear a moment to comment. Now I haven’t read a chapter since Sunday so I’m not sure what’s going on but at least I have something to look forward to this weekend! No auditors and lots of FanFic reading!

Hey there, Jwet. I’ve been busy but finally managed to get caught up. Wow, you’ve been busy!!The intrigue just keeps building. Shane’s loyalty is solid as the Rock of Gibralter.This is like watching the scaffolding being built for a hanging. One by one the steps are being put into place and soon the foundation will be complete. All that will be left will be to make the knot and tighten the noose. Alice has now been fully redeemed in my mind. Getting it all on tape…way to go Alice!We know that Helena will never be penitent for any of her actions, she sees herself justified in all that she does. I suspect that even when she’s caught she will probably blame others for her downfall. But if you want to prove me wrong Jwet, go right ahead!I love that Jackie and Grace are joining forces to set the dragnet for Helena. They understand that it’s not just B&T that are effected by Helena’s hatred…don’t mess with these two. It won’t be pretty.I have a feeling that the Fourth of July is going to come early this year!Can’t wait for more.

Great update, looking forward to the next chapter, I wonder if Tina will now finf out about Bette being in the delivery room, hopefully she will understand that Bette needed to be there for both of them. glad your up too 132, that means some more wonderful chapters in this saga.
