    Chapter – 11 – Questions

    Hey, Shane I wasnt expecting you this evening. Come on in. Bette says as she is opening her door. Shane is just standing there with the biggest cheese eating grin on her face as this was a visit she has been waiting over a year to make.

    Bette had already started walking down the hall of her apartment when she realized that Shane wasnt behind her so she turns around. Taking a second look at Shane she now sees that sparkle in her eyes and the grin across her face.

    What Shane. Do I have something taped to my back or something? Whats going on? Bette now is looking intently at Shane with that questioning look.

    You havent heard yet have you? Shane says answering Bettes questions with a question of her own.

    Obviously not Shane as I have no idea what youre talking about. Spill it. What could make you so happy? Bette now is really intrigued.

    Helena! Shane starts to say.

    OH PLEASE Shane dont even mention that womans name in my house. Not unless you are here to tell me she is out of my life or more importantly Tinas!
    Bette says cutting off Shane before she could say anymore.

    YES Is Shanes one word answer. But still grinning from ear to ear.

    Yes what? What are you trying to tell me? Bette says but slows down as that look is beginning to find a home in Bettes mind. Helena has finally left Tina.

    No better than that. Tina threw her out. Shane finally says.

    What!!! When Where How? Bette cant get the questions out fast enough. Shane come on stop playing me spit it out. Bette now demands.

    Just that about an hour ago Tina called Alice to tell her that Helena got real jealous over some present and Tina had had enough and told her to leave and I guess Helena did. Shane proudly explains as the whole story is music to her ears.

    Yes!! Bette says as she jumps towards Shane to high five her and the two of them do a happy dance together in their mutual excitement.

    3. Another fabulous chapter.
      Your depiction of Alice and Tina are spot on. Alice’s nosey and forthright nature was captured to prefection here and you wittily bring out her wacky sense of humour.
      Glad to see Tina is beginning to go with the flow. All the pieces of the plan are starting to fall into place but am sure, like in life, there will be a few unexpected twists and turn.

    17. I hope Tina doesn’t get a chance to talk to Alice about Jackie until Bette gets a chance to talk to her (Alice) first…this is really good. Please don’t leave us hangin’ too long!
