Here Tina looks at Bette with amusement.  “You know Babe we all get that lesson sooner
or later in life.  You just chose later
in life to learn it, I guess you just wanted to delay the maturing process.”
Tina starts laughing as she is trying to finish her statement but the end comes
    out a little garbled.

Bette is enjoying this good-natured ribbing from Tina.  “Oh now that’s diplomatic, calling it
maturing.  Next you’ll be telling me you
notice all the grey hairs the whole experience gave me.” Bette jokes back.

Bette continues on “But I will say that effort gives me more
satisfaction where before I needed to successfully complete the task to get
that sense of accomplishment.  If I just
know that I’m giving it my best and realize I can’t control all the plays, I
just take my satisfaction from that.  Kit
helped me see this.  You know she has been there done that but me being the
bull headed force that I am I had to see it for myself.”

At this statement Tina is having a hard time containing her
laughter.  Trying hard to suppress her
giggles, prevents Tina from answering Bette but just nods her head instead.

Looking at Tina and seeing the laughter shining in her eyes
from the last statement “Wow I see you can relate to that.  But seriously Kit too in her own way had to
fix herself but she helped me see that while you need to do a lot of the
changing yourself it doesn’t mean you can’t seek a little help.  I seek her advice and help now.  The whole experience has led to a new mutual
respect between us that is nice.  I’m at
ease with her, we still don’t see eye to eye on some things but that’s OK.”

“Well that sounds like an excellent reason to include her in
    Anna’s birthday party planning.  I’ll
call her tomorrow morning and she can go with us to pick out the cake.” Tina
offers but still has that laughter in her voice.

Chapter 104 – Saturday Morning at the B&T Household

Waking up to the sound of Anna’s happy gurgling in the baby
monitor, Bette looked over at Tina who was already waking up herself.  “Hey you want me to get her?” Bette offers as
she tries to catch Tina before she is completely awake.

    1. Love the teasing between Tina and Bette and the fact that they seem so happy. Irene is a smart young lady, Friends with Shane but not lover Took Ms FBI Porter a long time to find out Tho

    2. devious??? did not mean you were devious. only that you could think up something so devious. im sure you know just how much i loved this chappy. adults talking and having fun. whoda thunk. right?

always thought there was sumpin sumpin with irene and shane. maybe not?

      *bows down* to the queen.

      thanks

    3. leave us hanging why don’t ya…
I love this storyline – Yes, I indeed think Shane and Irene have a future. As far as the Helena drama … I know Bette will have a plan …maybe. How is the adoption going?

    4. Bette can cook, WeHo’s best kept secret!

She was so pleased with herself, her cooking was good and she managed to bring the conversation back to Shane. She was firing on all cylinders today.

I think Bette will do just fine with Anna’s teen years…she’s got the inquiry thing down pretty well.

Loved B&T’s playful repartee. You could tell there was love there even when Tina was throwing eye daggers at Bette.

Hmmm, Irene isn’t into women – eh? Well, neither was Tina at one time. I guess we’ll just have to see if it’s true.

Bette and Tina so willing to help Irene understand all of what needs to be done ahead of time before a decision can truly be made shows how much they care about her.

Oh, Helena. What sort of trap are you trying to set. Don’t get too close to the snare, it might close on you!

Now Jwet…was it really nice to leave us hanging like that? Tease. Big Tease.

    5. Great chatper Jwet. B&T are so cute. Its great they are helping Irene stay. She is so gonna fall for Shane, she just doesnt know it yet. cant wait for the big party. should be a blast

    6. I have a blankie. I know, I know, I’m 90 years old and I still have a blankie. But when my blanket is about me, it makes me feel warm, loved and safe. I get that same sense when I read your stories. Your writing is important. I’ve been impacted in more ways than you’ll ever know. Thank you for sharing your gift.

    7. “Tina says as she scoops another spoonful of peas and pears combination of baby food for Anna to eat.
Bette looks at that spoon full with her face twisted “How could she even eat that. Yuk!”

I agree with Bette – YUK.

      Another great chapter J.

    8. A sweet scene. I had to chuckle over the baby food at breakfast. I could never give my baby green vegetables then, it just didn’t seem fair. :}
When is James going to come forward with his info?

    9. Uhhhh Jwet, I don’t believe you left us hanging like that. I hope that B&T don’t have to lose alot of money in this deal with Helena. The dialouge between Bette, Irene, and Tina was great and Irene is soooo cute. Please continue.

    10. i have to agree baby food is YUK..lol..cant wait to see what Helena is doing..B&T seems so happy with each other again im glad the past is just the past…ok another great chappy as always thanks for share your talent with us..:o)

    11. Tina looks at Bette and takes the lead “Oh no we were just waiting for you to eat a little before we start up where we left off last night?” Tina explains.“Well that might be what you were waiting to do but I was going to ask her about what’s with her and Shane.” Bette says directing it to Tina. hehe, that’s my fav part of this chapter. great as always! and Shane & Irene as roommates? this’s gonna be interesting. please post soon.

    12. What’s the story ? Bette can cook???? Are you sure?

You know what’s better than football and a story? Someone to bring me food! Have to cook it myself. And yes, I can cook…..but mostly Chinese food!

I starting to feel like a child at christmas anxious for the next post…please post soon.

Thanks, again, and again and again.

    13. I think Super Slick Bette got those waffles out of a packet and then threw it away so Tina wouldn’t see it!!!

You were right, I loved the Super sweet & sexy humourous Bette – god that woman never ceases to amaze me…..

I do have one criticism though I’m afraid… those pictures I sent you, I’d like to see them as part of your story just so we see and well as imagine how hot that woman is! LMAO x

    14. JWet,

Hello hun haven’t had a chance to comment sonce last week so am back with avengence.
Deffo an Emma Peel fan. Hee hee.

So on to your marvellous melodrama:

I am soo happy that this story is sauntering along, way past the centenary chapter. I am sure that 150 sounds a good place to stop and tie up all the loose ends for.

It is a piece of heaven to read the miracle that you have created. The plotting is perfect and paced flawlessly. The dialogue rolls off the tongue like butter from a warm knife. The words encompass all of the character’s true selves and mind sets.

Bette’s gentle teasing of Irene was like the school bully pulling the braids of the new girl while Tina became the teacher reprimanding Bette and releasing Irene from this torture.

The conversation with Jack was very puzzling and as always am desperate to see where this will lead. Yes, I will be following your every post.

      Questions raised today:

Was Bette part of the Spanish Inquisition? Does she have a bright light to blind and confuse her interview? Is Irene’s Mom a force to be reckoned with? Will she cross-examine and use emotional black mail to get Irene to go home? How sweet was Tina? If she was chocolate, would she eat herself? Will Kit get a Bouncy Castle for Anna’s party or write a song to honor the event?

Will be waiting for your response to these in the next installment.

      Thank you as always.

      Your Loyal Fan.
