Chapter 52

Sarah responded to Shanes kiss, feeling her desire overtaking her senses, knowing she had all of 5 seconds to stop Shane, before her body took over and she would not be able to control herself, resulting in her succumbing to Shanes advances.

Sarah thought back to the kiss, and pulled away, (breathing raggedly) Shane NO we have to..we have to stop. you cant have it both ways

Shane was mildly confused, looking at Sarah, (breathlessly) Why do we have to stop? I can feel this is what you want baby What are you going on about, both ways?

Sarah just looked at Shane and silently nodded, bowing her head almost in embarrassment.

Shane: (sweetly) Oh baby..Dana kissed me, and I told her it was a mistakeI told her I was with youPlease dont leave.

Shane decided to tell Sarah how she felt. Now was the time, or she could lose her forever. Shane was pretty certain by the way Sarah responded to her kiss, that she felt the same way. She bought Sarahs eyes up to hers, and took her hand. Here goes nothing Shane thought.

Sarah couldnt believe her ears, I must have heard that wrong. Sarah though she only heard what she wanted to hear.

Sarah pulled back, Are your sure you really want meonly me. coz this is itit will hurt to much otherwise.. if youre not sure.!

Shane took Sarahs hand and placed in over her heart, looking Sarah in the eyes, Yes this is what I wantIm in love with you Sarah. I want you to stay here in L.Awith me will you stay?

Sarah: (seriously) Yeah. I will baby.

Shane cupped Sarahs chin with her hand and bought their lips together in a kiss filled with passion, desire and love.

Sarah deepened the kiss, lightly skimming her tongue over Shanes bottom lip, requesting entry. Shane happily obliged, accepting Sarahs tongue, sucking on it gently as it searched for and found her own.

Bette and Tina had finally managed to make it out of bed, in an attempt to get ready to make their way to meet the gang.

They thought about staying in for the night, but Bette reminded Tina that they had arranged tonights gathering for their announcement and so they concluded theyd at least better make an appearance and inform their friends of their plans.

Deciding to shower separately; believing the temptation would be too great, especially for Tina, the two women got out of bed and commenced getting ready.

Tina showered first and dressed in a pair of figure hugging black jeans and a black patterned singlet top, she had her hair done in a loose bun with strands of hair falling freely down the sides of her face. Tina was just applying the last remnants of make- up when Bette walked into the bedroom, after finishing her shower.

Dana and Kit had arrived simultaneously at Milk about hour after Alice, Shane and Sarah. Kit had no idea why Bette had invited her along, it being a ***** bar and all. Alice thanked the heavens above when Dana and Kit walked through the door. She had felt like the third wheel since she arrived at the club.

About an hour later Bette and Tina finally graced their friends with their appearance, meandering through the doors, laughing and gazing at each other.

The place was buzzing with people, not that the two women wouldve noticed. The Queen of England couldve been there, and Bette and Tina wouldnt have noticed.

Hand in hand they made their way over to their merry friends, greeting them all with hellos and light hugs.

Alice: (slightly drunk) You two are late!! What is going on?

Bette and Tina looked at each other with knowing looks. They knew, with the exception of Kit, if they didnt tell their friends about the engagement now, their friends possibly wouldnt even remember in the morning!

Bette still intertwined with Tinas hand in her own, (speaking loudly) Before we start girls and it gets too noisy…We have an announcement

Alice blurted out without even thinking, You two are getting hitched!!

Bette looked disappointedly at Alice, Thanks Alice!

Alice: Oh my god Im right? I was just guessingthats great you guys (getting up, being the first to congratulate the happy couple) (whispering while hugging Bette and Tina). Im sorry. I just. my mouth shoots, before my brain loads up sometimes

Bette and Tina looked at each other and smiled, Its ok Alice!

The rest of the gang arose and congratulated them as well, and after the formalities were concluded, Tina looked at Sarah, So sis. What was that about a drink?

Sarah untangled herself from Shane, (merrily) Whatll it be you two!

Bette: Well have whatever you are having, looking at al the empty cocktail glasses on the table, raising her eyebrows.

Sarah grabbed two Bloody Suzies for Bette and Tina and made her way back; a permanent smile plastered all over her face.

The night was now in full party mode. Shane and Sarah were dancing, if thats what you could call it. They were consumed in each other, totally oblivious to the women around them. They were both getting offers all night and ignored them all entirely, they only had eyes for each other

Tina looked on at Shane and Sarah approvingly, turning to Bette, See babenot just a pretty face hey?

Bette was feeling quite happy, having downed a few cocktails herself by this time, Certainly not babymuch, much more.

Bette grabbed Tinas hand, a devilish grin spreading across her face, and she dragged Tina out the back door.
