Feeling safe and wanted again – Chapter 39
Chapter ThirtyNine
“Hey.” Bette says groggily. “Are you going to stand there with your eyes closed all day?” Bette groggily says after a few moments. This makes Tina’s tears to once again fall down. She slowly opens her eyes.
“Hi.” Bette says again as she sees Tina’s beautiful hazel eyes looking back at her.
“Hi.” Tina gets out as she walks over to the bedside and takes Bette’s good hand in hers. “I love you. I love you, I love you.” Tina says and leans down and kisses Bette’s lips as soft as she can.
“I love you too.” Bette whispers back.
Tears keep coming, Tina can’t seem to stop them.
“I’ve been so scared, I thought I’d lost you.” Tina sobs out.
“I’m sorry that I scared you…. But I’m not leaving you, I’m not going anywhere Tina.” Bette says. “I’m sorry that I got shot.” Bette whispers after a few moments of silence.
“Oh baby…” Tina says, she looks into Bette’s eyes for a few moments. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if I’d lost you. I don’t think I could’ve handled that.” Tina says softly.
“Let’s not think about that. I’m here, I’m not going anywhere.” Bette says again, reassuring Tina.
“Evan’s missed you.” Tina says, giving Bette a smile.
“And I’ve missed him too. Is he allowed in here yet?” Bette asks.
“No, not for a few days. Even I’m only allowed to visit during visitor hours, so I have to go soon. But I’ll come back as soon as the visitor hours opens.” Tina says.
“Oh, so you can’t stay long?” Bette says with a sad voice.
“No, I’m sorry, it’s just few two days, then I’ll come and be with you every minute.” Tina says with a loving smile.
“I really want to go home.” Bette says.
“You can’t, and I won’t allow you. You almost died Bette. They told me that they lost you a few times on the operating table, so you are going to stay here as long as the doctors tell you to. Okay?” Tina says with a shaky voice.
“Okay, I’m sorry.” Bette says softly, looking into Tina’s teary eyes.
Tina dries up her tears, takes a deep breath.
“I should go, I should get Evan home and into his own bed. We’ve been here 24/7 for two days…” Tina says.

BadgeBunny is right. Tina should learn to rein it in. Please, let Bette be alright.
Please let her be OK! PPS
I love her, but that was bad, bad, bad of Tina to go at Bette about her job, when the woman is lying in hospital, after coming out of a coma.
Just when everything started to look up for Bette and Tina this set back hampers Bette’s recovery.
Hi Lauren, I know it was just an oversight that you didn’t post the update on this cliff hanger today right? thanks ppps!!!!
Chewing Bette out for what she does for a living was not a good thing while she is recovering.
Lauren, please let her be o.k.Thank you for the update.
Just read your updates. Please don’t let anything happen to Bette! Post soon Please!
