    “Shh,” Candace whispered, taking another step as Bette’s back touched the wall of the side structure. “I know what you want … and it’s okay.”

    Tina furrowed her brows, looking down to Candace, and then back.

    “She came onto me at work … I didn’t … I told her I didn’t want anything to happen. I’m sorry … I just don’t know … I don’t want her near me … just the thought of her touching me …” Bette leaned onto the structure once more, covering her mouth gently with her other hand. “Oh god … just thinking about doing this to you …”

    Tina glared down at Candace. And was suddenly glad that she had already fallen, because she was getting violent urges that she had never had before. Still, the shock of the situation had kept her from feeling the cold, as she was distracted with her own anger now. “You …”

    Candace got to her feet with some difficulty, looked to the door and saw that she would have to pass both Tina and Bette to reach it, and quickly took off in the other direction to get into her truck.

    Tina was so infuriated she felt frozen in her spot, or maybe it was the frosty -32° Celsius weather and the fact that she was barely dressed for it? She figured it was both.

    “T …” Bette started, rubbing her arms as she realized that it was too cold to be outside without a coat. She was shivering. “… I guess all I can do is tell you what I know to be true, and hope that in time, you can-” Bette was silenced with Tina’s finger over her lips.

    “I trust you.”

    Bette pulled Tina in to her and brought her face in by Tina’s neck, crying gently on her shoulder. “I’m so sorry …”

    “I saw it, Bette. I know.”

    She still felt awful. “I’m sorry.”

    Tina had to smile at Bette’s conviction, and all of her emotion – it was very unusual, and as raw as she had ever seen her wife. Bette often kept such deep feelings bottled up inside, and it was rare to see them in the form of tears. Thinking of that, she pulled back and wiped Bette’s face. “They’re gonna freeze, Bette. It’s winter out here.”

    Bette smiled at Tina’s visible breath, and at her thin dress. “Let’s go inside. We’re both gonna freeze out here.”

    2. Hah-hah…love your version B!!! I was so riled by your Candace, I wanted Bette to go get Candace’s Staple gun and nail her ass to the icy ground…and leave her there. LOL! Oh my…Alice’s message via Dana…ROFLMAO!!!! That is way classic!!! You on a roll…and waiting to roll into your “best” work in chapter 8.

    5. Well it wan’t a SMACK down but a SLIP down will do! I’m soooo glad you let Tina watch Bette push that bitch away!! I hate drama built on “half-seen” actions! I’m glad Bette told Tina she loves her and that they are about to make thing right! I don’t when or how you’re going to end this…but we need them TOGETHER!! I love your story!!

    7. I was saddened by this sentence by Tina. “The One That busies herself with housework and nothing else? ” To Candace say it, because Bette said something. Poor Tina was living in a marriage of lies. And now ????? ////// Do not know why, more I’m very, very, very …. look forward to seeing the next chapter. Hahahaaha.

    8. So glad that Bette has learned what it is that Tina likes to hear her say. It was thrilling to know that Candace ws a damned coward and ran to keep from having her behind beaten by Tina and/or Bette, which they should have done. Happy that Tina saw what happened and didn’t blame Bette for it. Great chapter, loved it. Thanks for posting.

    9. I love your writing. I never liked the Candace character in the show and I have to say I liked your version of her even less. That’s what great does-makes you angry, sad, happy. Definitly happy that Bette knocked Candace on her butt.

    12. That is some gripping drama. The last few episodes of S1 flashed before my eyes. I’m so glad your Bette is so much stronger than IC’s. That is exactly what Bette should have said to Candace.What’s with the pickles? Is Tina pregnant?An extra long chapter next, pretty please?

    18. The Candace “fall” is good enough for me as long as she’s out of the picture. I was so happy with how they opened up instead of putting it off by running away. It’s what I love about your tibette stories, you let them meet each other half way. They see each others sacrifices and meet them. When I read your stories I see the essence of a strong, healthy and sexually active lol relationship. I love bi, thank you for sharing your talent with us :)

    19. Love your version of the Candace scene – that is how Bette should deal with her! It is really moving how deeply she is affected by the thought of cheating, and by her love for Tina. And it must be HOURS before midnight…. Thank you!!
