Fall in Vermont – Chapter 26

    Chapter 26

    Pancakes and a tickle fest…

Bette felt wide awake and although Tina’s warm and soft body wrapped around hers was like heaven her tummy said it was time for something to eat. She glanced over at the clock 6:46 a.m. Jared and Jessie would be up soon. Bette softly moved away from Tina and slowly got out bed. She peeked in on Jessie who was still out cold but when she looked in on Jared he was awake too and they shared a warm smile. “Hi sweetheart would you like to come make some juice and coffee with me?” Jared smiled and opened his arms to be lifted up by his Mom.

Bette and Jared made their way downstairs with Jared snuggled tightly in Bette’s arms. “So Jared how about you and I surprise mommy and Jess with some breakfast?” “Ok, can we make pancakes?” “I think we can manage that and I think we have some blueberries in here too” “I like blueberries mom” “I know you do” Jared’s warm little body felt good and so did his soft little cheeks” Bette was really looking forward to spending more time with her son and helping him to feel more secure. “Jared I think this is going to become our little tradition, just you and me. We will start the weekend breakfast from now on” Jared smiled feeling special.

“Ok, Jared you stir and I will add the blueberries. You are doing such a good job. Keep stirring” Jared was sitting on the counter stirring the mix while the coffee brewed and the bacon sizzled on the stove. “Mom do you love me the same as Jessie?”  Jared looked up from stirring with big warm chocolate eyes, looking for answers from Bette. Bette felt stunned but knew she needed reassure him quickly, she ran her fingers through his soft curly hair and kissed his forehead. “Jared, I love you very much and I love you and Jessie the same. Do you feel like it’s not the same?” “But I came here second” “Jared it does not matter when you came, mommy and I love you with all our heart.” “I love you too mom” “In fact Jared you are the most special man in my life. And there is something I want you to have. Wait right here” Bette went to her desk and pulled out a small worn looking velvet box.  Bette opened the box and showed Jared a beautiful antique pocket watch. “This watch belonged to my father and before that his father and now it’s for you. My Dad gave it to me to give to my son one day” “And that’s me!” Jared’s eyes were sparkling and so was his smile. “Jared you complete mom’s heart in the most special way and I will always love you” Bette felt her throat thicken with emotion as she hugged her son.

    10. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, even though I thought that Tina actually already had Bettes last name when they got married, and I must say that the Epilogue(never watched Six Feet Under) made me sad, that I almost cry, when you noted what happened to Kit and then to Bette and Tina. Even though we know that this is what occurrs in real life,I don’t like to read about dying in the FF world. Thanks though for shaing your talent as a writer.

    11. The finale was beautiful.. Bette came back for Tina, they could stay away from each other very long. SUCH a beautiful story, I was there at the beginning and the last, thanks so much and hope you have another story in mine for us poor old motal. again thanks

    12. This final chapter to a wonderful love story was absolutely fabulous. I have followed the story from the very beginning and you have done a wonderful job with it, telling their story of love , separation, and love regained. Their love story although fictional will be one that is refered to in the annals of time as the “perfect love story.” We never want to see htem leave this life but no one lives forever and parting must come and the way you handled it was beautiful. This journey of our girls and the way you told the story was JUST AWESOME. Thank you so very much from the heart of a true TiBette fan.

    13. I have been reading your beautiful story from the very first chapter. The ending was perfect. Going back to re-read it all over again.

    14. Excellent story!!! Finally, a happy ending for all the TiBette shippers. If only IC would play along! Your writing is incredible. Thank you for sharing your story.

    15. …and they lived happily ever after. We could argue over who saw what epilogue first, but Bette coming for Tina at the end harkens back to many an old Hollywood film, Wuthering Heights and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir included. If you couldn’t make B & T immortals, you did their love, and that was nice of you. Thanks Chaka, this was a good one.

    16. The last chapter was very gut wrenching. It was beautifully written as was the entire story. I felt the pain and the love that this family endured over the years. I am still using klenex to catch the tears as they roll down my face. I hope that you will continue to entertain us with your writings.

    17. “It’s time Tee, I’ve been waiting for you” Tina smiled and reached out her hand feeling the love and warmth of Bette’s touch again. She joined her in paradise…….Oh my God C, you made me cry with that last line!! Well my friend, with each chapter of this story you achieved exactly what you wanted…love and hope. Wonderful job…thanks!

    18. This has been an amazing story from beginning to end. Of course my fav couple finding eternal happiness just sealed it. This story goes beyond words and I wnat to say thank-you for sharing such a great love story… we could all be so lucky! I hate to see it end but us delusional Tina/Bette lovers couldn’t be happier.

    19. Damnit! This brought tears to my eyes!lol! I have loved this story since the beginning! It was so very romantic and I am a sucker for romance! I do hope you regal us with another fabulous tale for it was truly a honor to read your work! Thanks again!

    20. Actually the epilogue doesn’t make me think of SFU but rather “American Graffiti” since that’s where I first saw such a thing. DAMMIT you made me cry at the end. LOL This has been a real joy to read. I venture to say it made people believe in eternal love just a little bit more. I hope you come up with a new story for us sometime! =D

    21. this was a great story and the finale was just perfect…sad to read about kit’s and B&T’s deaths, i always wanted them to live forever…thank you and hope that we’ll see you with another story soon
