    Epilogue, Even in the Quietest Moments

     

     

                Tina let herself into the home that she used to share with Bette.  Even though a year had passed since this was her address she still felt at home here in a way she never had anywhere else.  She still held onto the hope that this or some other place would become home for Angelica, Bette and her.  They were getting closer and Tina felt real hope begin to emerge.  They instituted family night once a week, either at Bette’s place or hers.  It was a time that she and Bette put everything aside and spent the evening with Angie.  It became a practice that they would stay in each other’s guest room that night.  It solidified their family bond.  Tina idly wondered if she would be as gracious with this arrangement as Rosanna seemed to be.

     

                Family night also turned into talking night for the two of them.  Often it would end with one or the other storming off, only to meet over coffee the next morning, before waking Angelica and getting her ready for the day to come.  They talked about the painful times, losing each other, losing their son, Candace, Helena and Henry.  Henry was the hardest. 

     

                They came to understand that Candace and Helena were reactions to losing one another.  Henry, Tina ultimately came to admit was simply to punish Bette further since she had never actually gotten over Candace, or more accurately Bette betraying her trust.  

     

                They talked about the good times, falling in love, seven years of awesome memories. They talked about Angelica and their dreams for their daughter.  They argued through pre-school choices and finally reached a real compromise.  They became a parental team. 

     

                Even though she knew that Bette continued to have a relationship with Rosanna she hardly ever had to deal with it face to face.  Today would be different, it was Angelica’s second birthday and for the first time Tina would have to officially recognize that Bette was in another relationship.  Everyone would be there including a couple of friends of Rosanna’s.  This promised to be an interesting afternoon. 

     

                The party was a huge success.  Tina sat on a bench sipping lemonade when the blue-eyed blonde took the seat next to her.

    5. wow…I see a sequel coming up…becuz no matter what Kel, I will never be over Bette and Tina, so let them have their fun and their family evenings and see where it takes us all huh??? u know u wanna do it!!!! Go on!!!!! soon too.

I’d like to hear the content of those family evening discussions….especially when both our girlz have got a significant other; and how Ange deals with mommies and their lovers….could make for drama, laughter and delight…eventually… u just have to make yourself be kind to the TiBetters out here….come on…

    16. I love your writing, that is why I kept reading and usually how you take care of B&T, but I Hated this one. TIBETTER, ALL THE WAY. NO MATTER WHAT. It seems to me that Bette and Rosanna relationship was more about sex and getting over someone.
