    Unexpected visit

    Chapter 28

     

                Bette opened the door and was shocked to see Tina and Angelica waiting on her doorstep.

     

                “Tina, what are you doing here?”  Angelica reached for her and she took their daughter from Tina’s arms. 

     

                “I have a business dinner tonight and I was wondering if you would be able to take care of Angelica for the night.”  Tina explained a little breathlessly.  “Actually I called Shane and she is willing to sit for her but Angelica saw your car and started asking for you so I took a chance to see if you might want to have her for the night.” 

     

                “I uh…”  Angelica leaned her head on Bette’s shoulder causing her to look down at her beautiful face and meet the smile that Angelica threw her.  Bette wondered again where she got that little trick from.  “Have you ever noticed the way she smiles to get her way?”  Bette frowned looking at Tina. 

     

                “I have” Tina admitted. “It’s classic Porter.”

     

                “What?! I do not smile to get my way.”  Bette declared.

     

                “No you smile and get your way.  Angelica is just more sophisticated at it then you are.”  Tina smirked. “So do you want to keep her or should I take her to Shane’s? I didn’t mean to spring it on you last minute.”

     

                “She will stay with me tonight.  I’ll never turn down a date with my Boo.”

     

                “Let me get her bag.  I’ll be right back.” 

     

                Bette watched as Tina strolled down the drive to retrieve Angelica’s bag.  Tina never failed to capture her attention.  Her evening dress clung to her curves and Bette found that while Tina had her pregnancy body back she also got a few bonuses.  Her ass was slightly more curved and her breasts were fuller giving her a more voluptuous body than before. 

     

                Tina was quire aware that she had Bette’s attention.  After all the years they had been together she could feel her gaze without looking.  She was hoping that Bette still liked what she saw.  If it wasn’t pushing too much she would ask if she could stop by after dinner to say goodnight to Angelica in person.  They had not really talked since the night Tina made her declaration three days ago and she wanted to follow up on their conversation.  She grabbed the bag and headed back up the drive to her waiting family.  Images flashed in her mind of the few painful times that they had spent in the drive as a family.  It was time to make new memories.
