Even in the Quietest Moments, Chapter 12
Tina made her way through the Planet to the table Helena and Alice were sharing.
“Hi Tina” Alice smiled brightly happy to see her friend.
“Hey yourself,” Tina returned the smile and nodded to Helena.
“I am so over being broke” Helena grumbled.
“I heard you did a great job catering a party for Bette’s new boss. You love to cook why not do catering?”
“I need contracts, jobs to cater Tina.”
“Well I don’t see why I can’t throw a few your way through the studio, especially location shoots.”
“Tina that would be wonderful” Helena brightened. “This might work.”
“So what’s new?”
“Nothing” Alice said without conviction.
“Alice are you losing your touch? Since when don’t you have some story cooking?” Tina challenged.
“Perhaps I should say nothing juicy.”
“Oh, well I guess I’ll have to start reading Curve more avidly.”
Alice threw Tina a glare before launching her own assault. “So how are things in heteroville?”
“Henry is fine, thank you for asking.”
“So is it really over between you and Porter?”
“We will always be connected because of Angelica, but yes it’s over in the sense that you mean.”
“Really Tina how can Henry compare to Bette?” Helena asked with curiosity. “How do you walk away from a woman as hot as Bette?”
Tina was taken aback by the question coming from Helena. She knew that the ice had thawed but she was not prepared to hear the open admiration of Bette from Helena. Instinctively she prepared to defend her position as Bette’s woman. “Since when do you find Bette hot?” Tina’s voice took on a causal tone that belied the anger building against Helena.
“I’m not blind Tina.” Helena stated bluntly. “She cleans up real nice and what a dancer.”
Tina watched Helena carefully. When had she seen Bette dance?
“So when did the two of you go out. I find it hard to believe that Bette even as far as she has come in accepting you agreed to go out on a date with you.”

Bette moving on… Tina can’t go for that. Thank goodness for sensible, straight-talking Shane. Tina will only lose her friends if she keeps lying to herself as well as to them. A reckoning is definitely coming. You’ve been posting all throughout the day, and I’ve loved every post, yet (!) I’m totally greedy for more. Thank you, kelika.
I had to appreciate Helena talking up Bette to Tina… the only thing that could cut deeper was Shane actually getting ticked off at someone… both pretty powerful. Yeah… and I’m greedy, too. :D Thanks
im waiting for tina to see bette with another women and see her reaction should be great.they are trully not over each other everyonr knows that.. p.p.s.
Oh this is sooooo much fun!!! I’ve been stuck on the previous (melt-yo-clothes-off) chapter. LMAO. Now I can sit distractedly while Tina gets roasted by the gang. I love Shane in this, and Tina shows herself to be a sucker for punishment…even though she deserves it. HA! Now,…I’m gonna go repeat the melt-yo-clothes-off chapter and maybe a long cold shower! 8p Then, maybe I’ll be able to stop drooling all over your keyword (NOT!). Awesome writing!
At this point I really like Rosanna, so you can wait to bring TiBette back if that’s your plan. Let Tina do her thing with Henry and let Bette move on. It was funny to hear Helena tell Tina how hot Bette was and see Tina get jealous. PPS
Don’t think Tina will have a chance with Bette again!
Tina has her work cut out for her,or is she to late thanks
