    Bette,
Tina and I had a little bit of a talk before I left for school this morning. I have to ask, girl what were you thinking? I promised not to judge, but I cant refrain from asking what the *****? Why did you get hands on with the carpenter in public when you knew Tina was there?
I just got home and she is cooking again. Youre right about the culinary life of a woman living alone. Im gonna miss her cooking when she goes back to LA.
I told her that I had gotten an email from you and that you were thinking of her. I saw tears in her eyes before she began to give intense focus to chopping broccoli. Hopefully that is a good sign.
    Keep the faith,
    Chris

    Chris,
I wasnt thinking, that is the point. Actually, Ive asked myself many times the question that you asked. I suspect that on some level I wanted to get caught. The guilt was overwhelming. I guess that I wanted Tina to find out so that I could stop walking under the cloud of guilt and shame that I was feeling. Looking at Tina while knowing what I had done drove me almost to the point of breakdown. It would have been better, I suppose, if I had broken down completely. At this point, I think catatonia is underrated.
How is she doing? (beyond cooking, that is).
God, how much I miss her.

    Bette,
Just a quick message, Tina and I are going out for ice cream. I guess it is a good sign that she wants junk food.

    Bette,
Your woman sure can put away the ice cream cant she? Ive never seen anyone eat butter pecan and mint chocolate chip together. What kind of weird tastes do people develop in LA?
Shes definitely hurting, but she did mention going back to LA next week. Perhaps that is a good sign.
Im guessing here, and I might be wrong, but maybe now might be a time to send some flowers. Just let her know that you are thinking of her.

    1. very cool angle and very well written. undoubtedly am enjoying and as i am a native of the South, must confess ignorance to some of these concoctions as well, but certainly not to others that have yet to be mentioned…
