"You know what Tina? I’m not gonna spend the rest of my life on probation..I’m just not." As Bette continues searching the room for things their daughter might need for the trip, Tina is thinking about what Bette had just said to her.

Tina was frozen in her thoughts. Repeating in her head over and over again what Bette had said to her just a few seconds ago. "You know what Tina?I’m not gonna spend the rest of my life on probation..I’m just not." That had stung Tina in the pit of her stomach. Bette was right. She shouldn’t have to spend the rest of her life being questioned and watched over by her wife. She didn’t wan’t that kind of life for Bette…she didn’t want that kind of life for herself either.

"Your right…" Bette turns to look at her wife.

"You shouldn’t have to go through that." As Tina speaks, tears start to emerge from her eyes. Bette notices and trys to comfort her, but is rejected by her. "Baby whats wrong?"

"You shouldn’t have to spend the rest of your life with someone that will constantly be watching over you and questioning your every move."

"Tina wha-" Bette starts but is cut off.

"Bette!…let me finish..please." Bette sees the sadness in her wifes  eyes and just nods for Tina to continue.

Tina took a deep breath and it took all the strength she had inside her to say what she was about to say. "I don’t….I think…I think it was a bad idea to…..be together again."

Tears were streaming down Tina’s cheeks and Bette was completely confused and shocked at what she had just heard. "Tina what are you talking about-" Tina had interrupted Bette again. "I don’t want you to live that way. I don’t want you to have that type of life."

Bette reaches out to wipe the tears off of her loved one. She trys to speak but is interrupted again. "I wouldn’t be able to live that way either Bette. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life wondering where you are, what your doing or who your with." Tina trys to continue but she is the one cut off this time.

"What are you saying?…Why are you doing this?"
