Kit and Carey both think that this is my life and that I should do what I want with it although they would have left their partner if something like this happened. I do not understand it. I could never leave Tina. She is my life.

µIn February, I will be 18. I keep thinking about adopting the babies, I really feel like in some way they are mine and that I have a connection with them. I have not told Tina about my thoughts; I am quite scared about her reaction. She really thinks that she will raise these kids on her own but if I have my way, they will have two mommies.

Today there is a check-up, to see if everything is alright with the twin. If we are lucky, there will be an ultrasound so we can see them again. After that appointment, we will go to Tina’s room and talk about names; she wants me to help decide the names. I am thinking about asking Tina about the adoption then. I am still trying to get the nerve though…

She put her diary away and opened her cellphone, wanting to know the time again and to check if she had a text. She looked at her background and smiled. It was a very pregnant Tina smiling with her hand on her belly. She was glowing. Bette fell more in love with that woman every second. She closed her phone again and walked out of her room. She ran down the stairs and onto the cool streets of Leuven. When she arrived at the bus stop, she only had to wait a few minutes and she was on her way to the doctor’s office. She stepped off the bus and saw Tina leaning against the building where the doctor’s office was in. She walked over and they smiled at each other.
